   I haven't been to Hy's In a while so I was excited to go back again. The ambience was just as breathtaking as I remember. All the servers were dressed in their suits and the hosts were welcoming and very accommodating. Everyone made sure to acknowledge that it was my birthday which was very nice. Our server was very nice and he knew a lot about menu and was accommodating as well. They had sat my boyfriend and I by the window where you can see the cook preparing all the steaks. It was such an exciting place to sit and it kept us entertained. Service was pretty speedy which was nice. We didn't have to wait more that 15 minutes for our food and everything arrived hot. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare amd the vegetables were seasoned amd cooked well. My boyfriend got the crab and truffle mac and cheese which was so good. I'm a truffle and crab fan so I'm pretty biased, but it was just so good. Right before dessert, one of the servers made sure to pack up any extra food which I appreciated. We then had the bananas foster for dessert and it was such a joy to see it being made tableside. Our server prepared it in front of us with ease and made sure to tell us everything that was inside. The dessert was quite sweet but the banana wasn't too ripe which helped counter the sweetness of the caramel and the ice cream. After dessert we were waiting for the check which did take a while to get to our table but I didn't mind too much. Overall Hy's was a great experience both service and food wise and I can't wait to celebrate another special event there.

   I recently revisited and dined at Hy’s, a place I once enjoyed a few years ago, only to find that it has drastically declined in quality. To put it simply, this experience was incredibly disappointing. While the drinks were decent, every other aspect of the meal fell flat. The food, which was heavily hyped as high-quality, was anything but. The meats and fish, supposedly premium, tasted mediocre at best. To make matters worse, everything was served cold, making it clear that careful attention to preparation and presentation was lacking. The restaurant prides itself on tableside service, which is a nice touch, if only the food lived up to the spectacle. Overall, this visit was a letdown, and I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for a truly high-end dining experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

   I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. The service was warm and perfect. I appreciated that we were able to share a steak. It left more room for all the other courses.

   Outstanding A5 Wagyu. Also, enjoyed the Tokyo 75, crab truffle macaroni & cheese, and tableside dessert. Perfect for celebrating our 25th anniversary ❤️

   We have been dining here many times over the past 30 years. It was excellent the first time and throughout. The food, service and ambience are the best in this State. We had the prime rib, garlic steak and steak poivre and all were done to perfection. And the service was impeccable. Would highly recommend Hys to anyone who is looking for an excellent experience.

   Everything was way over salty They dropped our soup so it took long time to get our food We ordered medium rare but came with over medium. Again took time to remake the dishes. There were regular customers of 8 parties sitting close to us left because the food were horrible. We wish we could have done the same without paying the over priced super salty over cooked food of $800 for 4 (2 were children)

    10年ぶりに予約しました。店内は変わらずラグジュアリーな雰囲気、でも何だかざわざわしている気がして店内へ。席に着くも、ウェィターは呼ぶまで飲み物のオーダーを取りに来てくれなくて、お腹を空かせて行ったのでイライラしました。コースのエスカルゴは熱々でしたが、メインのポーターハウスが冷めていてガッカリ。これでは場所も悪いのにリピ無いです。ワイキキ中心の方が良いお店が沢山あります。
