Beautiful place to dine at sunset. The ambiance was fabulous. A live band was playing down below on the patio. Oh, and you must try the Hula Pie! Absolutely delicious.

We loved our experience and meal at Hulu’s! I read somewhere that is was Duke’s little brother and now Hulu’s is my favourite child! Such a nice atmosphere, beautiful view, delicious food and tasty drinks. If we are back in Waikiki, we will be back at Hulu’s!

This restaurant gave us unforgettable memories. Food was so delicious and staffs are nice and kind. My family was taken care by Rose and she was really nice staff. The things that surprised me at the most was birthday surprise! My dad and sister asked a birthday surprise! She served me a pie with a candle for birthday surprise and gift. Thank you so much!

We had a reservation for the dining room and after having a very negative and unpleasant experience with our waitress (I didn’t get her name, but she is a taller, blonde, female), we moved to the bar. we were immediately greeted by Abigail, who turned our evening around in an instant. She exemplifies five star customer service, and, if not for her our experience would’ve been completely different. As for the food, we all had the fish and chips, which were excellent, and I highly recommend. This is a great location with a rare beach view for a restaurant in Waikiki. The bar menu is actually really really good and I’d recommend seeking out Abigail and enjoying the food there rather than the dining room.

Amazing experience, easy and convenient walk. Waitress Courtney was beyond 5 stars with her quick, friendly and professional service. Food was amazing and reaffirmed the consistent work by chefs and the kitchen. Negative would be for 20th anniversary as noted at time of reservations 30+ days before arrival, we had to wait to be seated while other groups walking up were seated ahead of us with reservations. Additionally, we were seated kitchen adjacent booth after waiting 30+ minutes for reservation time while preferred balcony seats remained open?? Highly recommend nonetheless.

I don't know if our server thought we were locals but he definitely attended to the tourist with more service and they received there cocktails before we received our sodas that he had forgotten about even though we arrived 5 min earlier than the other guests. .

1. Was seated outside of restaurant on a walkway/deck with small tables for two. Not in the restaurant but apparently an overflow zone. Was the only person sitting in this zone. 2. Lighting was extremely bright and waitress said people complained consistently but there was no effort to install dimmers by Managment 3. Waitress was attentive 4. The band playing below at Dukes was very loud and focused on R&R and Country. Could not even hear the ocean 5. Salad, appetizer and main dish arrived all at the same time 6. Food OK but not worth the cost. 7. No ambience at all 8. Perhaps if the table had been the restaurant it might have been a better experience

Noise level was significant but it didn’t bother us at our table only because we were located overlooking Waikiki Beach. Our server, Evan was exceptional! Food was very good. Would have enjoyed more seafood selection.

Just beautiful! It was a little hard to find; but once we did, we were very happy about the experience! They had Gluten free items along with options to make things dairy free. Even a dessert for us both to eat! The ambience was just amazing! Perfect views with a great atmosphere!

We love the Hula Grill. A lot of people like Dukes but my family prefers the Hula Grill. Always great food and great ambience. A favorite and must do when we are in Hawaii.

Took friends to Hula Grill to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. As always - it was an amazing time. Wonderful atmosphere, delightful drinks, attentive waitstaff (Thanks Evan), fabulous food, and a view that’s hard to beat, especially at sunset. All while we were serenaded by none other than Henry Kapono for the Duke’s Sunday Funday celebration. Thank you Hula Grill!! We’ll be back! B&K

Ordered wontons with crab chowder. Wontons were deep fried not steamed. Crab was like a dip that oozed out of wontons. Not pleasant. Mahi mahi was ok but too many flavours led to a confusing combo of flavours. Steak was cooked medium how I ordered but tasted like it had been sitting under heat light for 10 minutes. Nice views but we were sat behind a column even after booking weeks ago

We really enjoyed our dining experience. The food was amazing. They gave us our Hula Pie dessert to celebrate our Anniversary. The view of the ocean with live music down below is priceless. Two thumbs up!

Arrived early to enjoy an excellent 2 rum classical Mai Tai at the very energetic tropical themed bar. Restaurant seating is all outdoor - luckily the weather cooperated with a nice tropical breeze. Seating overlooks the ocean as well as the downstairs live entertainment at Dukes. A nice bonus! The seared Ahi tuna and pesto Opah entrees were quite good but somewhat overcooked and a bit dry. But overall side dishes and presentation were excellent. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable evening!

I had the mahi-mahi, and it was so bland. No salt, and not flavorful. The Pina Coladas in the pineapples were $20.00 plus and was one of the weakest drinks. It was much of a frozen NA drink. Also, on my reservations input birthday, but they did nothing special. I saw someone else getting sang happy birthday and a dessert. My mom had the mushroom ravioli, and she liked it. However she is not care for the spinach. The service was good, but I would hit return due to the food was not a wow factor for me.
