Great dinner at sunset! Our server AJ was awesome. My hubby’s prime rib was slightly well done but our other dishes were good. We had the localicious salad with chicken, honey Mac nut shrimp , pasta shrimp carbonara and of course, Hula pie for dessert. Overall a great experience!

Jorge was an excellent server. I ordered the mahi mahi & swordfish special and it was wonderful. My husband had the crab topped mahi mahi, which was also delicious. Finished our night w/ some Kimo pie!

Great food and service! We ate here in October, and it was not as good as previous visits. They have revamped the menu, and the food was much better. Each of the four dishes was fantastic, and we were pleased with our choices.Evan was a great server, and we will be back.

I love Hula Grill. The bread and chili sauce is great. Don’t eat too much or you’ll get too full for dinner. We started of with poke tacos and ended with the Mac nut mahi mahi. Sooo good. I eat here a few times a year. It’s one of my faves when I’m Waikiki. The service was great as well. Mahalo to our waitress who was very sweet and checked on us often.

The setting of the restaurant and our table, with a view of the ocean waves, was awesome. The mushroom fries were fantastic as were our drinks. However, the main courses were not outstanding in any way, which we found disappointing. We did get a discount and a free dessert as compensation, which was very kind.

I used Open Table to attempt to book a table at Duke's. Unfortunately, Hula Grill appears as if it is the Duke's Waikiki location. We were very disappointed to learn last night that it is not the same restaurant.

Spencer did a great job as our server. He was very knowledgeable on the ingredients as my SO has dairy and gluten allergies. All there meals we ordered were fantastic and we would definitely go back again!

Very busy for Thanksgiving Day, but we were seated promptly and service was excellent. The Thanksgiving special was delicious despite them forgetting to include the cranberry sauce. Comfortable open air with a beautiful beach view. Also enjoyed the crab won ton appetizer.

We had a wonderful experience here in celebration of my bday week. AJ our server was the best, very friendly and pleasant, I'm glad he is our server. The view and the food were exceptional. I highly recommend this place. Please go and have the wonderful experience. I'm so glad we did and coming here is one of the highlights of our Honolulu trip. Thanks AJ, keep up the great and excellent customer service! The food were delicious and that Hula pie is to die for.

Pancake order came out after 45min wait (even though not busy)and it came out wrong (ordered banana and it was chocolate chip !). Pancakes were nothing to write home about either- especially for the money spent. I wouldn’t waste my time or money here for breakfast.

Hula Grill has gone significantly downhill since I was there last about 18 months ago. It started off poorly when the host & hostess refused to let us sit at our table 5 minutes early (restaurant technically opened at 4:45 and our reservation was for 4:45). We requested the early admittance since one of our guests is disabled and has trouble continuously sitting and getting up. We wanted to sit just once. We indicated that we understood that the restaurant was still being set up (staff meeting ) and we would not have service until they opened. We had a party of 5 people, Hula Grill’s solution was to just add a seat to the end of the table trying to crowd 5 onto a 4-top. The manager begrudgingly added a non-used 2-top to make the room needed. The noise level was extremely high since there was either a band or speakers blaring from the restaurant below Hula Grill which made any conversation almost impossible. The food was so-so. Nothing inspiring or worth coming back for, except for the mushroom fries. Service was so-so as well. Once we received our drinks and food the waitress never returned to fill water classes, refill bread, or ask how things were going. Nor did the manager stop by to ask how things were once the seating debacle was resolved. Anyplace else but Honolulu, this restaurant would be gone. They survive on the views (which I’d great ask for an outside table), past reputation and their deserts. However, we didn’t stay for desert due to the noise.

We had reservations at 5:30 to watch the sunset at Hula Grill. The food was great, and so was the view! It was loud, because there was a live band downstairs at Duke’s, but it was very fun!

We had a wonderful dinner starting with Calamari and we had ahi tune and mahi mahi finishing with an outstanding sorbet with fruit. Our server was Ocean and she was excellent in suggestions and answering questions We enjoyed an outdoor singer on guitar for entertainment during dinner. Highly recommended with a great view of the beach
