We had a birthday party for four. Our meals came, but one order was incorrect. We specifically ordered our steak medium. It came almost raw! We sent it back for them to cook it more. Yes, they were apologetic for the wrong order, but meanwhile my husband was sitting there with no food while we were eating our food. They should have compt us for something for our inconvenience.
We took visiting friends here to enjoy the Waikiki waterfront dining experience; we requested and received a lanai table, which we really appreciated. The view was beautiful, and the food (we had a variety of fish and chicken) was filling and tasty, the wine selection was good, and everyone enjoyed their choices. Our server, Bentley, was very friendly and accommodating. We did have to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, but we were given a buzzer and there was plenty of seating available in the waiting area.
Beautiful scenery and excellent food. Two adults (including a vegetarian) and a 6 year-old dined and we each found something great on the menu. Overall pretty good value considering you are right on the beach in Waikiki at a hotel. We enjoyed the Banana Mac Nut pancakes, the loco moco (with fried rice, an excellent short rib portion, and two eggs along with the gravy), and the Keiki Chocolate chip pancakes. All was excellent - good portion size and quick attentive service. The view is worth it the food and service makes it better. Kinsey the server did an excellent job getting the coffee and waters full, making good recommendations and accommodating requests. Great overall
Hula is one of the places you can eat and see the ocean/beach. That was the biggest plus going for it. The food was okay. We requested salad dressing on the side and they brought it on the salad instead. Our waiter was nice enough, but seemed to have too many tables, including a large group that arrived after we were seated.
Great food and great service, delicious vegan option on the menu
The portion sizes are average for the price so value is moderate. The location is great but the music from the pool outside was loud.
Dinners and drinks were excellent, much quieter and calmer than Dukes.
Gorgeous view! Great salad and wine also. Staff was very friendly and fun.
Great service, great food.
Came in for Mother’s Day dinner. Food was fantastic. My brother-in-law was extremely demanding and can be just plain rude when a server makes the smallest mistake or the kitchen doesn’t cook his steak extra well done. Everyone was awesome so he couldn’t ruin my first MD as a new mom. Thank you so much for a flawless dinner! This is my favorite restaurant in Waikiki. Five stars.
Service was outstanding great food great ambiance beautiful ocean views
The restaurant had a fantastic Oceanside set up. The food was overall average. Many other great restaurants in the area to try!
Had a great day spending Mother’s Day brunch here. We didn’t plan to eat out but went out on a whim and were able to get a table quickly.
Excellent Service, especially by the Manager; stunning views and very good food!! All infall a great special date with my sweetheart!
Was a great view, good service. Fish and chips was quite good, only the fish, chips way over done. Calamari was very good
Local items like loco moco and fried rice were bad.
Beautiful view! Good food if not exciting. Excellent hula pie.
Amazing Mother’s Day experience at Hula Grill! Fantastic service, delicious food and beautiful backdrop! Very impressed!!
Perfect location! The view is great and you get to enjoy the music playing down at Duke's. The service, once again, was excellent....friendly and attentive.
Great food and service
Had a great dinner: local catch of the day. Seated usby our reservation time. We have been here several times & like the food, ambiance, location. We will be back.
Awesome view- food is ok. Mahi was dry.
Generally nice atmosphere and the waitress was very prompt and helpful. My Ono was over cooked but edible and the eggplant came with the stem tops mixed in so those parts were a surprise mouthful if you got it. Nothing special unfortunately because the setting is nice.
Enjoyed our meal and finished with hula pie. Can’t go wrong.
The food and drinks were good. Our server wasn’t the most attentive and didn’t ask if we’ve been there before or if we were celebrating anything. My husband finished his mai tai while the server was at our table and he didn’t ask if he wanted another.
It was our last night in Hawaii while we were on our honeymoon, I wish we would have gone somewhere else.
I missed booking time, but staff was immediately rearranged table!
Thank you. I will come back again!
Awesome as usual
The food was great and the view was excellent, however, the noise level from Duke's below was quite high. Had to talk very loudly.
Lovely setting right on Waikiki beach at the Outrigger. Prices are as expected for the view and setting - a little high, but not outrageous. Very accommodating to my nut allergy, and food was delicious. A very pleasant brunch on our last day in Honolulu. Would definitely go back.
If this place was anywhere besides facing the Waikiki beach I would not recommend it. But considering the view and the expensiveness of the area, it is a good breakfast value. My omelette was very good, not great, my wife’s croissant sandwich was fair. They do take reservations for breakfast which is good because there would have been a 25 minute wait otherwise.
Food was delicious and the service was very good!
Though I had asked twice and they said that they'd move us, we NEVER got to our "rail" seating. Very disappointed.
Excellent steak and dinner. Outdoor seating was nice. Service very good. Will definitely make this place a regular stop when in. Waikiki. Restaurant is above Dukes.
Good for breakfast. You have to get the Banana Mac Nut Pancakes and a Mac nut iced coffee. Kind of hard to find. You have to go through "outrigger" archway.
The food was good, not great. Price was high but on par for Waikiki, the place was loud though, like a cafeteria.
