   The hostess got us in early, which we appreciated very much. Our waiter was precious. I ordered two Mai Tais at $17 apiece. I ordered fish and he suggested the special. I honestly could barely hear what he was saying because it was so noisy in there. My daughter ordered roasted chicken. Our meals were subpar and that is a compliment. My drinks were ok. So far, the most expensive meal that we’ve had and honestly the only one we have not been satisfied with. Very bland. I wouldn’t complain at all if it were not for the high prices on this basic food.

   Fire grilled Ahi & Wood Fired Ono fish both excellent, as well as the side of focaccia. Hula pie good but extremely frozen & never really thawed to an enjoyable consistency. I reserved an outside table at sunset which was beautiful until a huge group of 18 people (yes!) with children waiting to be seated invaded the lawn & stood there before, during & after sunset completely blocking our view. So disappointing. Then the families with toddlers who treated the lawn like their backyard bbq running back & forth & screaming in front of us. Mentioning to our server was useless, she said there are always people standing on the lawn. I don’t mind people standing for a quick photo but they should stand on the walkway or over to the side where there were no tables so everyone can enjoy the view. Better sunset view at Leilani’s on the second floor.

   Excellent food and service!! Mai Tai was superb. The fish tacos and fish and chips were the best. We plan to go back before our trip ends to enjoy another meal. You have to experience the Hula Pie! We loved the music, also! 3 pm on Monday was a good time to dine and not extremely busy. Our waitress and server did an excellent job too!

   We are there twice! Lunch and Sunday brunch. They host a church service before they open on Sundays and that is awesome too!

    This restaurant has gone downhill. Food was less than average…but fresh at all… and very expensive. Service was okay but not great. The greeters weren’t overly friendly or helpful with getting tables in the areas with a view despite booking in advance. I’d look elsewhere.
