El Hula Grill, ubicado a orillas del mar en Kaanapali Beach, ofrece una vista impresionante del Pacífico y de las islas de Lanai y Molokai. Hula grill was good. Very busy. There was live music that was great to listen to while eating dinner. However we felt rushed to order as our server kept coming by asking if we were ready to order. The prices were outrageous but seems to be the theme here in Hawaii. The kids dinner options were at a more reasonable price point ($11) and had more option which we appreciate. We got the seafood potsticker appetizer ($24) which was so good, it was such a tease as they only came with four which meant one for each person. For main dishes we got the soup, roasted chicken and mahi mahi. All very good. The chicken and soup was very filling. However the Mahi Mahi was not filling for my husband he ate some of the chicken and soup as well. Each entree came with a starch but the veggies were ala carte($8/$9), the server did say they could be shared up to 3 people. Overall it was a good experience food was delicious, but due to the price being so high we will not go back.

We went to Hula Grill for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was the first time for our family at the restaurant. The waiter was fantastic and made our evening very enjoyable. The location was perfect with an ocean view. The only complaint was the food…fish was dry and hard. Kids chicken teriyaki tasted like it was microwaved from being frozen. I expected better food from this restaurant and better value for our money.

Gorgeous venue, best service, loved our waitress and bartender. The food was underwhelming. Chef needs to do better. We were a party of 4 adults. After yummy drinks at bar we shared: focaccia bread (bad and cold) potstickers (cold, lack of flavor) crusted mahi (cold and dry) ahi tuna (average), chef’s choice fish (average) dessert was delicious hula pie. My recommendation, go for happy hour, stay for sunset seat at bar.

The quality of the food has definitely dropped. Hula Grill used to be our favorite special night out in Maui. This time the meat was undercooked for everyone and service wasn't great. Thet also used to have yummy bread with dipping oils but no longer provide that. Overall it was disappointing and we had much better experiences at other restaurants.

Murphy was our waiter. He was incredible! The food was great too! Would highly recommend! Will be back just to say hi to Murphy though!

The environment here is amazing. It’s right on the beach. We got to see a beautiful sunset. It’s definitely on the pricey side, and the food took a while to come out, but it was delicious. Would definitely go back.

We were incredibly disappointed by our experience at the Hula Grill. Our drinks were mediocre at best. My skinny margarita was not salted and definitely made with a mix. Yuck. When we told our server that our mango smoothy tasted more like coconut, he told us the bartender may have used a pina colada mix instead. He did NOT offer to make it right. The Caesar Salad was so incredibly over-peppered that my daughter couldn’t eat it. It is frustrating to pay SO much for an average experience and meal. Skip this spot. Not worth it.
