So glad to be on Maui! It was Thanksgiving so we decided to have the special holiday plate. The food was outstanding!!! Service was top notch and sitting with our toes in the sand drinking island cocktails and finishing with Hula Pie…couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Danny was our server and we sat at table 103! It was awesome from start to finish! Definitely recommend this place for any type of experience. We had our young teens with us and he catered to them in a way that kept them engaged and we all know how hard that can be with teenagers! The food was amazing, the ambiance was perfect! We are visiting and we are so glad we chose to start our vacation here first! We will be back!

The food was not good. The fish special was overcooked and dry with no sauce, the rice was flavorless and lukewarm and the plate was rounded off with one tiny spear of unseasoned broccolini. The coconut seafood chowder was completely overpowered with too many onions and macadamia nuts and had an unappetizing flavor. The ribeyes came out well done. The server was great and had new steaks brought out but what a disappointment and waste of money.

It used to be one of our favorites, but it has slipped over the years. You now have to pay for the bread basket. The noise level was so loud you couldn’t have a conversation and service was slow. Still good, but not the amazing level it used to be. A bit overpriced for what you get. You are paying for the view.

We had a wonderful meal at Hula Grill. The mango ribs appetizer was so good we had to get two, we loved the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and also really enjoyed the ahi. Our server, Tatjana, was so helpful in describing the dishes and she made some great suggestions. Her energy was amazing. She made our night and we felt so welcome. Thank you Hula Grill.

We had the wontons as appetizer and felt the dipping sauce was too spicy and didn’t pair well. The broccolini had a bitter glaze on it. My chicken dinner had a gravy with a similar bitter taste as well. The lava flow and lime in da coconut drinks as well as the chowder and hula pie were great. Otherwise not what we’ve typically enjoyed from Hula grill in the past.

We’d made reservations & were seated at a lovely table with a great server. We then realize the menu from the barefoot bar was not offered in the regular dining area. Everyone was so gracious in helping us secure a seat in the barefoot bar area (which does not take reservations).

Waited a very long time for a second glass of wine. Dinner came before the wine ever showed up. Our waiter brought the check not even asking if we needed anything else. Sadly we didn’t tip what is our normal.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Everything from the drinks and food to the wait staff were fantastic (especially Tracy). Hula Grill never disappoints! This was my second time at this restaurant. Some of the BEST food on the island. Do not miss the seafood chowder, ceviche, or hula pie. Server, Kelly, was attentive and went above and beyond!!! We WILL be back 🍍🌴❤️

Using open table reservations excludes you from the more fun sand area with live music and casual menu (where you can just walk up and be seated). Reservations puts you inside with a fancy menu. So you sit outside and wait and watch as walk ups get seated in the cooler part of the restaurant while your reservation time comes and goes.

It was extremely loud (there was a wedding reception in the background near our table), server spoke to one person of our party of 8 because of the loud volume. Should have known not to order Omaha steak from the mainland as it was only so - so for the price. Stick with the seafood dishes and must have hula pie!

We love the atmosphere at Hula Grill! The hostess was welcoming, and our server was attentive and helpful. The food was excellent! We enjoyed the seafood potstickers, and steak with lobster. The live music and being right on the beach capped made the evening even more perfect!

We brought family members and had a GREAT time. Had a little trouble finding the “ropes” to the bar and got yelled at by a staff member but what the hey. Our server from Serbia, Tatianna, was FANTASTIC and made the meal a total pleasure.

Food and service was great. We sat at the sandlot where the view at sunset was incredible. The entertainment added to a perfect night. And incredibly I had a good glass of chardonnay for $11 dollars. This was our first time at Hula Grill and we will definitely be back!

Since we got to town early, we tried to get into the restaurant prior to our 730 reservation. Said we would be called if there was an earlier time then we went to a different location (host) and registered again. We got a table and ate dinner before my text came thru. I am only sharing this in case you want to eat earlier if your plans change. Fish tacos were good - two only - and hamburger was a decent size and flavor with fries. Nothing to rock your world but good.

The seafood chowder was phenomenal, so much so we went back for a 2nd time! Not crazy about the lobster on the chilled seafood platter, but my husband liked it. Filet was good, everything else just ok. Carol was an excellent server, but the entrées were slow to come out and my friends meal and mine were cold (filet & cooked ahi), aoup was just barely warm but my husband loved it!
