We made a reservation which worked out well since it was quite crowded. If you had a reservation, you were seated under cover which was great since it started to rain. They had live entertainment which was nice. We only ordered two appetizers and drinks. The wontons and potstickers were delicious. Very enjoyable!

Fabulous experience. Our waitress was the best taking care of us understanding we had a 2 and 1 year old. Best calamari appetizer any of us had ever eaten! And don’t miss the Hula pie although beware one will serve 4 people! Hostess seated us at a wonderful “indoor” table but it’s all really open air so we were protected from rain but felt like we’re were outdoors.

Our reservation was for 6:45pm and we were not called to be seated until 7:35pm. We ordered a vegetable side (carrots) which did not arrive with our meals- we told our server who said “I’ll have the boy bring it”. It still was not brought to us until we were finished eating so we turned it away. We then ordered 2 Hula Pies. It took another 30 minutes to get our Hula Pies. I had my parking validated- validation is for 3 hours, but we had to pay $8 to exit the parking lot because Hula Grill rook so long to serve us.👎

Service was extremely slow. Food was excellent. Very difficult to get things we needed like a fork and knife after they were dropped accidentally. Beware that you might need to walk through very course sand to get to your table, I was wearing heeled sandals and had to endure painful sand in my shoes all dinner. Wear flip flops!

The food was ok, neither the best or worst. I had the mahi mahi and it was good, the local salad and beets were very good. My wife had the seafood chowder and neither of us liked the taste that much. There was a good bit of fish, very little lobster, one shrimp, and too much raw purple onions.

We have dined here many times over the years. The fish is always fresh and well-prepared, and we enjoy the use of many local ingredients. We always look forward to the coconut shrimp or calamari. Service could have been a little more attentive, and the greeter was bordering on rude. The food was a little too salty, although that may be a reflection of not using salt at all in my own cooking. But many of the dishes are very creative. The view is magnificent, and we were well sheltered from the winter, blustery rain showers.

We’ve been to Hula Grill many times over the years and we’ve enjoyed it. However this visit struck us as very small portion sizes for the price. Noticeably too small both on appetizers and entrees. But our server did provided excellent service. We went to Kimo’s (which is part of the same restaurant group) the next night and the food was excellent with very nice portion sizes for the price. Sadly we are questioning whether we will go to Hula Grill again on our next visit.

Celebrating my retirement. We made our reservations a week or so ago. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get seating “in the sand” but were still able to get a peek at the entertainment. Food was good, our waiter had us order our drinks right away as he warned us the wait would be long, which it was. Otherwise everything was fine.

We had reservations and were seated promptly. Service was great, good delicious. We enjoyed the fresh bread, wonton appetizer, tomato soup, salad and the Mac nut & crab Mahi Mahi. Then enjoyed hula pie. Service and food was amazing!
