Our waiter Montana was excellent , very attentive. Food was delicious. I took off one star because the hostess was rather unfriendly . It felt like we were bothering her not her greeting us . I know it was busy but really very few were waiting and as far as we could tell we all had reservations. First impressions matter. Luckily Montana made up for it.

We were greeted with a glare when we arrived on time for our reservation. Food took forever to come. We overheard that they lost our order ticket. Manager said he would comp some items but then they tried to charge us for everything. Manager fixed the issue, but the evening was a disaster. Not a fun way to end your day on Maui…

I had asked for an out door table. We were seated in the bar (5 people at a 4 person high top). Food is normally really good here but they missed on several of our items (chowder, calamari, etc). Service was spotty at best.

AMAZING food, awesome surroundings, delicious drinks and good wait staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and had very full bellies at the end. Make sure you get the Hula pie! totally worth it.

Jack was attentive . Food was excellent . My daughter did not enjoy her spinach mushroom ravioli as much as the rest of us enjoyed our food ( ceviche, potstickers, ahi, mahi mahi, and filet) but the rest of us give it 5 stars . Overall really great experience

We were disappointed with the food here. Two adults and one child. My chicken was so over cooked it was inedible, and my daughter said MacDonalds burgers are better. The location is amazing though.

So there are two menus at this restaurant, one is for “Barefoot Bar” area where the tables are in the sand; the other is for the restaurant portion. There are two kitchens too. The only area where you can make reservations in advance is the Back restaurant portion. We have a party of 8 so we felt like it was better to make a reservation in advance. Well, we didn’t know about the two menus/two kitchens thing and realized only once we were seated. The restaurant menu is OK but it’s somewhat limited and also more expensive. The service was OK, but a little slow, depending on the table. The food was way overpriced.

We had the best experience dining out with our family to celebrate a birthday. Our energetic server, Montana, made our experience 100 times better. He made sure the two small children we had with us got their food first. You can’t beat the food and atmosphere at hula grill. Thank you guys! Mahalos

So many better restaurants out there!! We had a reservation and it took 30min for them to seat us. Food took forever and then they never brought our green beans, lobster was over cooked and chicken was bloody.

They seem to be in a major rush. They are taking your plate away while you are still eating just to fit more people in. Not a relaxed dinner. Waitress was messing up and forgetting half the things we had asked.

Reserved online and it showed a tasting menu that we found out was actually not available after we arrived, we booked to try the tasting menu so felt like a bait and switch. We were also sat in the sun and the steak that we paid full price for was undercooked. The only saving grace was our server who took good care of us, he got us a new steak and timed the drinks and dishes well. The food was good and the hula pie was tasty.

Excellent location and setting for sunsets, evening ambience for couples, friends and families. Service is always great, drinks arrive really fast and food follows timely. The mahi is on point, and the seared ahi is flavored exceptionally well. Recommend if you are in the Whaler’s Village visiting.

We had a reservation for 8/15 pm for 6 people but weren’t seated until 9:15 after flying all day to Maui. Waiter was super arrogant and insulted the chicken dish my son ordered twice, first telling him mot to order it, and then asking him if it was raw “like usual” while he was eating & enjoying it! Crazy! We go to the Hula Grill our first night every Maui trip but now I wouldn’t go back to the overpriced restaurant. Not worth it.

We’ve been to Hula Grill several times over the past 15 years. Each time it seems to be less special. Can’t help but feel like it’s more of a factory for getting people through than it is a restaurant. Our appetizer of Hawaiian ceviche was good and dinner of macadamia mahi mahi just ok. Our server Roy was about as uninterested in being there as possible. The only saving grace is the view is still great and the Hula Pie can’t be beat. I think next visit will be to dine elsewhere and head to Hula Grill when it’s time for dessert.

We had a delicious dinner and amazing cocktails. Appetizers came out quickly and the Fish Chowder is a must. Our Server, Kelly was very fun and we will be back next time! Don't forget the Hula Pie!
