Hobnob Kitchen and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Our meal at hobnob was excellent! Service was great, decor very trendy, and good was outstanding! We had the deviled eggs which have pork belly and are fabulous as well as the arancini, octopus, squid, scallop ceviche, and tuna bites. Parents had crab soup and sea bass and everything was excellently prepared. Loved the octopus! And arancini were melt in your mouth delicious! Didn’t have room for the tres leches cake this time so we’ll have to come back! Also great cocktail and wine list!
I can truly say that the entire encompassing experience was wonderful. The food was quite unique and totally delicious. The service was top notch. The environment was so much fun. There were people from all ages there and all seemed to be having fun. It was really a great night out with friends. I would strongly recommend this wonderful place to everyone. I will definitely go back.....again and again.
Great variety of small plates - scallop seviche was terrific though just one scallop thinly sliced. Octopus and beans was good but again, not much octopus as it was very thinly sliced. The place is a nice departure from seafood overload/atmosphere. We were there early so noise was not problem.
The food is very good. The shrimp with grits was done to perfection with a nice “kick” to the shrimp. The hanger steak with fries was tender and cooked to our parties liking.
The noise level is loud but it is a lively place.
Service was great and it was easy to get a reservation. After 7:30 pm it becomes crowded so if you prefer a quieter atmosphere go there at 6 pm.
Very disappointing this time. Took friends from out of town there. Ordered the pasta special that was supposed to come with scallops. There was only one scallop on a relatively greasy pile of pasta. Our friend ordered the crispy grouper which was basically mediocre fish and chips. Were the fries frozen? Prices are getting out of control for the value.
High ceiling kept the noise level good. Plenty of seating (not on top of each other) in an excellent atmosphere and well decorated.
Our server Tiger, was excellent and had great timing.
The food quality and portion sizes are outstanding
Grilled artichoke, octopus with white beans
Lamb shank with goat cheese whipped mashed and house made fettuccine with 2 large scallops wrapped in salty prosciutto.
Would never eat there again at a busy time. The noise level was ridiculous as a consequence of tv in the bar no sound separation between bar and restaurant and to add to the noise live music. If you want to have a conversation over dinner this is not the place for you.
We were very disappointed with our experience at Hobnob. The food was rather bland and the pace of the meal was way too fast. We were served appetizers and entrees in rapid succession and felt rushed. We got an extra glass of wine just to make it feel like a regular meal.
The food was very good and exceeded expectations. The combinations of flavors and texures of shrimp and polenta complimented the mahi mahi I had ordered. The presentation was wonderful. It was slightly confusing to have four different servers, but that was a minor issue.
