A new Upmarket Indian Restaurant just opened in Fashionable Belsize Lane. Dishes are cooked with care and to perfection by Head Chef who hails from the Taj Group in India and has worked for a Michelin Star Indian Restaurant. Healthy cooked techniques are employed as well as separation of all White fish, seafood, lamb, chicken and vegetables with individual labelling and storage. Already becoming a favourite with all the Belsize Village locals this restaurant has something for every palate with a number of regional dishes from Punjab in the North to Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the South, with so many regional dishes on offer, we are sure you will find your taste. Serving White fish ranging from Black Cod, Halibut, Tilapia and Sebass this restaurant really is catering for patrons from a varied number of backgrounds with an extensive vegetarian menu as well as Lamb and Chicken dishes. If you fancy just drink why not relax with a cocktail at the bar or with a refreshing Pint of Cobra.

Sublime food, beautifully prepared and presented.
Slightly odd service. Orders taken but sighed at when asking for a pause between courses. Not an issue and shrugged it off, but unexpected and unwarranted.

Excellent
Peaceful decor and warm reception from staff.
Sea bass and halibut on offer in addition to the ubiquitous tilapia. Wide range of interesting vegetarian dishes including a very attractive and tasty starter platter. Easy parking. Overall 5 stars!

We always enjoy eating here. Food is very good indeed; the staff engaging and helpful. Portions are generous -- like people at another table, we took food home with us and ate well the next day.

Good Indian meal in a nice setting. We really enjoyed both the konkan chicken curry and curried lamb shank we had for mains and the gulab jamun desert. Plenty of option on the menu, including vegetarian dishes. We ate here on a Saturday evening and would definitely recommend booking as they were turning people away.

Hidden gem! Fantastic local restaurant. Everything delicious but especially the prawn and Sea-bass dishes. Chicken tikka trio also great. The staff are so attentive and the restaurant is lovely and intimate. Would highly recommend!

Excellent food and service, very reasonable price, very quiet place. Hazara really is one of the best Indian restaurants I went to in London. I recommend it!

To be honest the food was ok bearing in mind where the location of the restaurant is I do think they are missing a trick. Food has the capability of being at Trishna standard but let's itself down by serving lamb chops that were fatty and overdone-I was wondering what was French trim about the chops but anyway clearly I have been spoiled.
The chicken curry was nice but the star dish for me was the aubergine-not sure the £80 bill justifies the aubergine. Oh and how can an Indian restaurant not have decent raita?
Service was very disappointing not very engaging bearing in mind 4 waiters and restaurant half full??? Sorry but won't be going back.

Great food but service was a bit slow and some staff were quite miserable! Smile! Accommated gluten free requests well. Ambience lets it down quite a bit as it was quite cold- please turn the heating up. Also lighting not quite right so isn't a warm, cosy atmosphere.

The quality of food was fine but the service was extremely slow. Although the restaurant was full and very busy with the take-out orders, the staff were super friendly and still smiling! However we had to wait for our main meals to arrive for about 1:20 hrs. Obviously the kitchen could not cope with a full house!

We were the only diners (end of half term probably why) hence lower score for ambience. Staff outnumbered us so but awkward in a space this size.

Hazara is an old favourite of ours and the food is outstanding - only criticism would be that they should advise at order stage the dishes that are light on sauce. Rice was too dry to eat with the dishes we ordered and a side veg would have been better. I actually prefer Hazara because there are dishes like that so it only needs explanation not changing.

Smoked monkfish is a most have!

Three colleagues had a very good meal after a long day at work. Lamb dishes with good size pieces of quality meat especially recommended. The grilled prawn starter with lime and herbs were liked by all. Relaxed and efficient in a good location. We will return

The food is authentic Indian. Not the bland version one gets in most Indian restaurants. The flavour, the spices, the taste...it's something one would want to return for. The service too is warm and friendly. I just wish they'd be a little more professional and make sure their wine is correctly measured and not pass off 125ml as 175 and then top up the measure once you point it out to them. Also, they are on tastecard but on a day they have a full house, they won't accept it even if you ring before hand as required. Im not sure that's allowed and since I'd gone out to have fun I wasn't going to make a fuss.

However, the food is so good I'd go back just for that! It's just that these make the difference between a good restaurant and the perfect one.

Food was fab, but service was really slow and we waited nearly an hour for our drinks and poppadums. Maybe because it was 5.30 on a Sunday afternoon but we did book and they knew we were arriving. It was for a birthday and they made no reference to this or made us feel special in anyway.

Was given a table with a broken light. We asked for the bulb to be changed - but the manager said he cant. This is why i question, why is this table still be offered to customers when the restaurant knows it has no lighting?! Surely they must put customer satisfaction at number 1 priority. We then asked to move table however the manager wasn't too pleased about this. Over than that, the food was very nice.

This restaurant is expensive so you expect a certain quality. Gin and tonics bought in a cheap glass, then a very dear wine list. Had vegetarian platter to start which was the best bit about the meal . The main courses were awful with a dry chicken biryani and a rogan josh with foul sauce . Poor quality food and high expense gave a bad overall impression, no wonder the place was not even half full on a Wednesday evening.
