we took your visiting relatives here - and they were impressed - with everything. I requested a table in the back room so we wouldn't have to compete with the pianoa. My wife and our male visitor had the filet. It was perfect as always - and he dines out quite often. My niece had the trout and I had the sea bass. Both perfect. And the service was GREAT as always.

This was our first visit to Lexington and we were so happy with our dinner. The piano player was a nice touch. The food and service where great.

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch ! The eggs Benedict with Crabcakes added were so delicious and special ! The steak and eggs choice was also delicious. We definitely plan to return for a dinner soon . The service was excellent as well !

This was one of our worst restaurant experiences ever, maybe the worst in a nice place. We visit Lexington a couple of times a year and Haywood’s is part of our go to restaurant list. When we arrived they seated us directly in front of the piano - about 18 inches away. I asked the host if they could seat us somewhere else and he said no. I was quite unhappy as I had to almost shout so my wife and I could hear each other. When our server arrived I told her we were very unhappy with the seating. Her response was if we were unhappy we could just leave. I thought that an odd statement but told her we would stay as my wife was hungry and ready for dinner. She re-emphasized that she would rather us leave than take out our unhappiness on her. Really?? Regardless, I said no, we would take care of her and knew it wasn’t her fault. We ordered a fairly expensive bottle of wine only to find out 7 minutes later they didn’t have it. Okay, a maybe bit unprofessional but maybe they just sold the last bottle. We ordered another bottle and dinner. It was a preset 3 course probably because being a graduation weekend. The amuse was underwhelming (two bites and then we said no more) but the soup decent although not up to our previous experiences. The entree was good. Our waitress after taking our order never returned once to check on us. Waters never refilled. She showed up to take the dinner plate walked away and came back and left the check. We looked at the bill to confirm a prefixed price. When she returned asked if dessert was included. It did indicate that on the menu and we saw others getting dessert. She then got quite hostile and blamed us for not ordering it. We were never asked what we wanted for dessert! Most restaurants with set menus ask after dinner, although some ask earlier. We got neither option. By then it had gotten so uncomfortable we left. Sadly, I don’t think we can get past this and return. There was a 2 top in another room that sat empty.
