Food and service are always good. On this visit we had the salmon entree which pairs with 2 sides and the shrimp and grits. Wife and I both enjoyed. Service was good...we sat outside...
Beautiful plating and very accommodating. Thank you!
Twas a great place for first date. Owner was very accommodating!
Good time, really good food, reasonable priced Prosecco. The appetizers we ordered were unremarkable, hummus player and grilled cake.
It was an amazing meal. Our party of 4 had each a different entrees and all were amazing. Our server Brian was outstanding. All servers deserve major kudos these days and he went above and beyond.
Very cool. Our server was super helpful in helping us pick out what to get. They even had a new cheesecake that was very rich but also very good! Definitely will come back!
We had a reservation and were running a few minutes late, but we were seated in just a couple of minutes. The she-crab soup was as good as any I've ever had - and I grew up 90 minutes from the coast. My wife had the roasted cucumber appetizer. These were not roasted until limp like you might have guessed. They were garnished with a tasty pepper sauce and goat cheese. Absolutely yummy! The pork shank I had was tender and crazy-good. They take mashed potatoes to a new level - you have to try them! My wife's ribeye steak was larger than we expected and perfectly done to her request. Our server was polite and helpful; she found and brought a certain beverage that my wife wanted but wasn't listed on the menu. The decor is attractive, with lots of artwork on the walls. This is a good place for a special occasion dinner; they take very good care of you.
It was great getting back to Harvest 18 . It is a great place to gather after DPAC or a college football game. I noticed there were new items on the menu. Folks loved the artichoke appetizer. The Bloody Marys were also a hit. I loved the wide choice of fish. Our wait staff were excellent. We loved our main server and her loyalty to the Buffalo Bills even though we are Panther fans. She had a lot of special requests from our group, and she accomplished every little request with grace and efficiency. Javier was ever present in making sure we had a great dining experience and we did.
Jason Smith has brought to NC great dining experiences. Let’s support our fellow North Carolinian. My group is so appreciative how his team has worked to make dining out safe and healthy in these tough times. It was good to see so many people doing take-out as they are not ready to do face to face dining yet. Support our restaurants and their workers with your business and generous tips.
Awesome food! Salmon cooked to perfection (not overcooked). Meatloaf like family-made. Veggies and kale salad very fresh.
Good COVID precautions. Outside seating. Yummy BLT. Great service.
Only drawback regarding service is that they are short of staff, so it took a bit longer than expected to be served. But the good local food was the winner!
Not crowded at all, very fast service and the food was excellent. We will certainly be back.
Good service. Ambience good. 2 out of 3 of our meals were completely bland. The pasta dish was essentially pasta with a small amount of bland watery tomato sauce and the butternut squash tamales also had no flavor. Completely not worth the money we paid. Very disappointing.
I wanted to wait a few days before taking the survey to be fair. When we checked in, nobody mentioned that the AC was dead. It was HOT! Waitress was friendly, but overworked (it's everywhere, so definitely not the fault of restaurant). When the food arrived, we had 2 average meals and 2 below average meals. Meatloaf entree was extremely dry, and the Shrimp & Cheddar Grits entree was lukewarm at best. Everyone said their sides were not very warm. Hoping that things get better, but in all honesty, this was a huge disappointment.
It doesn’t worth the money and they were so slow at their service!
the food was great . We had a table of 4 and we got shrimp and grits, Veggie Pesto Pasta, Grilled chicken and gravy and the Pork Shank. It was fantastic. Melissa took great care of us. We shall be back.
Good and service were excellent!
Easy parking; outside dining quiet and tables spaced apart. Food was very good but fries over-cooked. All 4 enjoyed meal overall and would eat there again.
Terrific service and delicious food! I’d only been for brunch and was glad to have gone for dinner. Will certainly be going back again soon!
I really loved the food. I highly recommend the grilled trout or salmon and the braised collard greens. Also, a delicious and not overly sweet banana pudding. It's a farm-to-table restaurant so they serve what's in season and buy from local farms. I love supporting local restaurants. I went there for the first time with my friends and liked it so much I returned the next night with my Dad. Both nights were equally enjoyable though, our server the first night was more attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The second night I felt our server was trying to turn the table around even though it wasn't that crowded. She didn't even offer dessert, just asked if we wanted the check. I had to ask to see the dessert menu. Just a small nit. Did not take away from the overall excellent experience. I will definitely make this my go-to restaurant whenever I am in Durham visiting friends and family.
Great waitress: remembered birthday request, made menu recommendations
It was really hot in there but everything else was outstanding! The manager stopped by several times to make sure we were taken care of and thanked us for coming!
First visit. Food was delicious! Service was great. Plan to go again.
We enjoyed the food tremendously. The catfish was cooked to perfection. The meatloaf was very tasty. We loved the cheese grits and the vegetables were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. They had a excellent wine selection.
Wait staff very friendly and helpful but disappointed with food. Bread was a bit stale, collards too sweet and grits too dry. It was better the first time we went there - not sure what happened.
First time there and the food was amazing. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is extremely clean.
Great food and wine! Indoor/outdoor patio seating.
Fabulous as usual l!
Too many dining, drink, and dessert options for four locavores to choose from. We all chose different entrees, sides, and desserts, and everyone was very pleased with their dinner. Attentive and knowledgeable service from Aaron. We will definitely return at the first occasion.
Grateful for terrific service and great vegan/vegetarian options. We'll be back!
Whew, had the ribeye with braised collard greens & mashed potatoes, with banana pudding for dessert! Was wonderful.
My friends came to town from NYC. I had to shine. I took a chance and was rewarded with Harvest 18. Thank you for the high level service and fresh, quality shoes.
All three meals were superbly prepared and served. Waiter was very focused on making each of us feel special and responding with just the food we desired. Customized the experience to just us.
Will return soon.
Service was fine but the food was just awful. No flavor at all. Most of our entrees were bland and “mushy’.
We met friends Saturday night for a birthday celebration. Drinks before dinner were excellent. We shared two appetizers and they were both delicious. Entrees were the salad with salmon, shrimp and grits, chicken, and the pork shank. Everyone thought the servings were adequate and the meals were excellent. We ordered the banana pudding and the lemon tart for dessert for the table and both were good. Service was friendly and professional.
Every time we have eaten here the food & service has been consistently awesome!
Food and service were both great, outdoor seating area was in back looking out on parking lot but actually wasn't noisy. We all really enjoyed lunch there.
The price of the Shrimp and Grits were advertised differently online than in the restaurant. The price was higher in the restaurant. When I mentioned this to the server, he said that the menu online was probably old. He did not offer the price that was advertised online. This would have been GREAT customer service.
Not impressed... food mediocre at best... small portions... didn't meet my expectations
