Good service and food in a different setting due to Pandemic.
I visited Harvest 18 with my fiancé for a date night, it was a new place for us to try. I was really excited about this restaurant, the menu looked good and it had a nice variety. When we walked into the restaurant an overwhelming smell of old fish was the most notable thing about the restaurant and it made it difficult to enjoy being inside. We were also disappointed in the value of the meat and cheese plate appetizer. There was only one piece of prosciutto on the plate and one sandwich sized piece of toast to share between two people with a large amount of cheese, pate , and pickles. It seemed unbalanced and not a great plate to share. Because of this combination we decided to leave after finishing the appetizer and go to a different restaurant.
The food was wonderful. The service, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff was wonderful. We would certainly come again
I really like that they changed some items on the menu. We always enjoy eating there, but needed more choices. We had crab and salmon and they were excellent!
Food was amazing, service very attentive, even with someone in training. Beverage selections eclectic and quite good. Overall noise level quite manageable, but individual loud parties can change that.
Restaurant is loud. Waitress was great unfortunately they were obviously understaffed and her attentiveness was delay t/o our dining. Food was enjoyed by all.
great food and service. Will definitely be going back.
Service was excellent from the bar to the table! Food was superb!!! Never a disappointment!! Highly recommend.
Food and service at Harvest 18 was terrific. It was my first time there and I'll be back. Highly recommended.
Very good brunch - good menu - lovely waitress
The Cracklin' Pork Shank and Homemade Meatloaf were both southern cookin' at its finest! Our dessert of Toasted Almond and Damn Fine Chocolate liqueur went down so smoothly! My husband & I enjoyed our dinner out in Durham, thanks to our awesome server, Aaron!
Great food and service. Ranks as one of our top three places to eat. Amazing food, easy to find. Totally awesome.
The food was very good but I did not care for the atmosphere. I expected something similar to 18 Seaboard. This place feels tired and dark. It needs a redo.
Excellent service, tasty food!
Everything was very good...food and service. We weren't thrilled with our little table, but our server was so amazing and the food was so great, that it made the location of our table very tolerable!
The menu isn’t huge but the food is really good. We had a slight issue with my steak and they brought out a whole new meal! Great staff and service.
Great food and good drinks
Heavenly lobster bisk, crab cakes, sweet potatoe, Bacon Braised Collard Greens.
The sirloin was ok but the vegetables were not great. The brussel sprouts were mushy and the sweet potatoes were plain. It also took a while to get our drinks. We were almost done with dinner when they brought our second drinks.
Food was excellent as always. Price points for me make this place a special occasion restaurant only
My wife loved 18 Seaboard and still misses it to this day. Hitting a Jason Smith restaurant for Valentine's day was a no brainier. Harvest 18 is not 18 Seaboard. The view of the Michael's in the strip mall across the way let's you know that. But the She-crab soup is still transcendent. The mid rare steak was exactly that and seasoned within an inch of it's life. It may not have all of the ambiance, but the service is well above average and you won't even care because the food is just that good.
Very creative menu and consistently good food; I love this place! Atmosphere does not reflect the quality of the cuisine, but if you can look past that it’s a great restaurant.
The food was amazing. The service was great. The drinks were tasty! This was our first visit but we will be back!
Overall a good meal. I got their scallop special and my husband got the fish and chips. We also ordered one drink. The scallops were cooked perfectly! The sides were very mediocre but the red pepper pesto boosted the dish. The fried fish and fries were good, but I have had better. Service was okay considering it was Friday night. Our waiter could have been friendlier and more attentive. We had to ask to get refills on water and she seemed a bit stressed all night. Our total bill was $50.00. A fair price, but definitely not a bargain spot.
As always the food was fabulous! Always a good meal and great place to eat.
Fantastic food—gets better every time I go—plan on returning soon
The food was good if a little under seasoned. We had to wait a very long time for it which probably explains why one of our appetizers was so cold. We sent it back and it was still cold the second time. That said, the manager tried hard to make the rest of the meal correct and she did. I think the restaurant has a chance to be good/better but they were overwhelmed on a Saturday night during restaurant week. I would try it again just on a less busy night with that in mind.
First visit and will definitely return. The food was great and the service was excellent!
Ate there during Triangle Restaurant Week. The steak and the tuna were cooked to perfection. The lemon tart was delicious as was the black Manhattan!
My twice baked potato was burnt and there was very little crab meat in she crab soup.
New diner for TriRestaurantWeek. We opted not to order from the special menu because there were other things we wanted to try instead. Had Polenta & Wings for appetizer. Both were delicious - the shrimp pan sauce on the polenta & the sear and tenderness of the wings were on point. Spinach and mixed greens salads - also delicious. I was surprised at the smokiness of the pear and onions on the mixed greens salad. One of us had the salmon and the other had the scallops. PERFECT cook on all fish we had. I was pleasantly surprised that the bacon braised collards were a highlight of the meal. The cheesy grits were perfect, but nothing unique. The only downturn in the experience was the dessert. We ordered the bundt cake to share. It was small, dry and served on a plastic plate. I guessed that they had precut pieces for triangle restaurant week. They hopped right to it and brought out the lemon tart and did not charge us for dessert. Excellent service! Not a bad wine list either, although I was disappointed that there were no red blends available by the glass. Wonderful experience and will definitely be going back for more seafood and collards especially!!
We were a few minutes late for the reservation. They were busy and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated.
Service and food were all excellent from that point. It was a little noisy but that was more from we were seated beside a rather rambunctious party of eight.
Excellent restaurant !!!
We visited for restaurant week. Our sever was delightful and knowledgeable. The bread and butter were delicious. Everything looked as good as it tasted. We only wishes that there had been some kind of chocolate dessert.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening out. The ambiance, service, and food were all terrific. The she crab soup and lemon tart were especially amazing! We'll be back soon!
This is a great restaurant to go to. It was restaurant week, so they were busier than usual for a Wednesday night and it showed a bit, but it didn't detract from the entire experience. Their polenta appetizer was lovely. The tuna steak was perfectly cooked and the greens were delightful. The risotto cakes fulfulled a starch lover's dream, and the finish of a scoop of Raspberry sherbert was a nice refreshing finish. I have long enjoyed this place, but this value oriented restaurant week menu was really enjoyable!
Harvest 18 was great. The owner greeted us and gave us complimentary samples of the she crab soup. Everyone was friendly.
Great lunch, service, and experience. Met the chef owner. Would recommend for lunch or dinner.
We went for Triangle Restaurant Week. The chef was wonderful. He kept coming out to check on our meal and gave us a free sample since it was our first time visit the place. He genuinely cared about our experience. We cannot say enough about the she crab soup. It was divine to the last drop. You can definitely taste the smokey taste from their wood fire grill. Don't let the small space deceive you. Harvest 18 will help you step out of your comfort zone. We normally don't like mustard, but the mustard with the pork belly corn dogs had us rethink our dislike. Would definitely go again.
The food was wonderful. The chef sent us an extra appetizer to try. We felt as dear friends, welcomed and fed with care.
Just in town for the night - food was wonderful! Some music or something to make the atmosphere a little more lively would have been appreciated on a Saturday night 😊
