Hanover Street Chophouse Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I enjoyed the whole experience starting from the Valet parking and coat check
right to the knowledge of the server.
We had a nice relaxing meal that was explained thoroughly by Basil.
He was very professional and we enjoyed his knowledge and sense of humor!
We will certainly recommend this restaurant and will most definitely dine there again.
Great Food! We have a special table that we request. Past three times we did not get it. We were asked to wait for table. I saw the host seat another couple right before us at the table. No one said a word as to sorry we couldn't save your table. Manager was going around to all tables to ask how things were, look right at me and went the other way. Not going back to this place. Its too bad because we really like the food however real bad attitude from management and front location!
Very nice to pull up and get your car valeted as well as your coats taken and hung up! Ambiance was fantastic as was our waitress throughout the night! Our food was definitely less than stellar but still really good. Seasoning was good but the Bone in ribeye was tough, and the porterhouse was over cooked. The ladies got Filets and they were great! ( wish I did the same) I would recommend for anyone to try it but I won’t be rushing back. Very pricey for what you get.
This is by far the best option for steak in the greater Manchester area, and challenges some of the better steak houses in Boston. The chef and kitchen staff are exceptional from appetizers through dessert. The waitstaff are as professional as they come. It's definitely a pricey place, but at the end of the experience you won't have buyers' remorse.
First time visiting Hanover Chophouse and we will be back. The service and food was outstanding. My wife had the surf and turf and I had the rack of lamb. We also enjoyed the carpaccio to start and to finish the meal, bananas foster creme brûlée. Our server Meaghan was first rate - helpful, professional and nice. Classy place.
We arrived at 4:45. Reservation was for 5. We were told that there was a staff meeting and were not seated unril 5:15. If there is a staff meeting that runs over then reservations should not be taken for 5 pm.
3 steaks were ordered medium. All 3 came back rare and needed to be sent back. When brought back there were areas that were still rare. That is simply unacceptable at a restaurant of this caliber and price range especially with a restaurant that was 70% empty at the time of food preparation.
We don't get to the Manchester area as often as we like, but we always eat at the Chop House. There are other steak houses we go to in various areas, The Chop House is the only one that has stayed consistently excellent! Even this time we couldn't get in until 8:15 pm it still was worth it. Wait staff is always outstanding!
I heard a lot about the place so thought we would try it out. The service and food was absolutely fantastic. We sat right in front of the piano player, he was fantastic with just the right tone. I believe his name was Jeff, really great piano player. It really made our evening an added pleasure. I had the porterhouse which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the chicken parm which was also fantastic. We shared a nice bottle of pino noir which I at first thought was a bit pricey but was well worth the ambiance. We definitely will return.
I took my girlfriend there for the first time this earlier this week. It was both of our first time going there, we drove just over 2 1/2 hours to go to this place off of a recommendation from a friend.
So we got to the restaurant and we immediately started to feel the experience as the valet tenant opened the doors for us to enter. As soon as we walked in we were catered to hand an foot for the rest of the evening. We didn’t wait 5 seconds to be seated from the time we walked in the door.
The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine selection, as well as all items on the menu. She was extremely helpful and tentative to our needs through the night without hesitation. It was definitely an experience we won’t ever forget. A definite must go if you’re in Manchester, make sure you bring your credit card if you go, because with an exceptional meal comes a nice hefty bill at the end. Don’t worry, It’s worth it though!
It was our first time to Hanover Street Chop House and I can guarantee that this will not the last time we eat here.
Our reservation was for 5:45pm but we arrived a little early. No problem, the bar is gorgeous and very well stocked with every spirit your heart desires.
When it came time to be seated, they put us at table where there was a really cold draft when the front door opened. We asked to be moved, and they moved us to a very cozy table for 2 where Melissa was our server for the evening. She was incredibly personable and knowledgeable about the menu, the cooking styles, sauces and everything that had to do with the menu. They have an extensive wine/spirits menu and we were quite impressed.
We ordered the 16 ounce Delmonico Steak and the Chilean Sea Bass (special for the night) and were thoroughly blown away at the presentation and the way everything was cooked. To say that the taste and everything about the 2 meals were exquisite is being quite modest.
Hanover Street Chop House ranks very highly in my book.
Thank you for a wonderful dining experience and to Melissa, thank you for making our evening so enjoyable.
