   We celebrated my Mom’s 85th birthday and she always said how delicious the food is. She enjoyed the curry and I was pleasantly surprised by how much she ate and still had leftovers. Everyone from the General Manager Francisco to the team was very warm and welcoming to us. I’ll definitely be back for sure

   Terrific again and again. Great service from our server Jennifer who made sure that we had everything remained comfortable. We appreciated that great service and a delicious lunch. Everyone was friendly and the menu was great.

   We all loved our dinner. We had the bau buns (they are amazing), the ahi noodle bowl, fresh fish of the day (seabass), and the French onion soup. Everything was delicious, beautiful presentation, great service, and we loved our cocktails too. One of the best restaurants on Maui.

   Not a great experience. The welcome was wonderful and very friendly, my guess is he's the owner. But our service was poor. Very impersonal and felt like we were bothering her. It started off great with drinks coming to the table right away, but then we were left sitting for a long time with no service. I almost got up to see if they had forgotten we were there. And from that point on it was more of the same. Now, that's just one server though and maybe on a bad day. Food was fine, but nothing I would pay nearly $50 a plate for.

   If you're looking for “simple elegance”, Hali’imaile General Store is the place to pick. From the charming eye-catching, plantation-style exterior to the eclectic decor adorning the walls and open shelving in the front dining room, with the light streaming through the picture windows, a plentiful amount of charm oozes in every direction. This restaurant offers the opportunity to still dress semi-casually, but also delight in donning maybe a cut-above dress ensemble for the evening. The preparation of the meals that my friend and I ordered were excellent. I ordered the Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi. The meat was firm yet delicate, each bite a delight. My friend ordered the Blackened Seared Ahi Noodle Bowl, and was thrilled with her choice. There are so many delicious reasons to dine here! 👍👍

    We come back to this restaurant every time that we visit Maui. We love the Sashimi Napoleon. The food and the service is excellent. Wonderful historic building adds to the special feel of the restaurant.
