Great sourced seafood, and the pork bellies with compressed watermelon was to die for. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. A great way to celebrate 40th anniversary.

Another great dinner. Glad to see Tilefish on the menu. The pumpkin seed crusted Tilefish was amazing. Service is always top notch. Wine menu has a great selection.

This was hands down the most unpleasant dining experience of my life. In 20 years of coming to New Orleans, and previous visits to GW Fins, this took the cake. The service was so rushed that our appetizer and salad came out together, and then our entrees arrived shortly after and were left on a tray next to the table to get stone cold. When we finished the appetizer, the waitstaff tried to take away both that and the salad that we had not even touched yet. When I objected that we hadn't even tasted it yet as our entrees were unceremoniously being dumped in front of us, the waiter offered to box it up "for later." At this point, we still had not gotten even glasses of water or bread service. We had been trying to get someone's attention, but our server was nowhere to be found for most of the evening. Finally, after nearly an hour, we were given water, and the bottle of wine we had ordered at the beginning of the evening showed up. Though it was not an inexpensive bottle of wine, there was no presentation, no opportunity to taste, nothing, it was just dumped into glasses with little care and left on the table. We were surrounded by larger groups, and finally when the waiter appeared, one of five times we saw him all night, I said, "It seems that you aren't really interested in serving small parties." And he shrugged and said, "Yeah, you are right, we aren't. And the kitchen doesn't care what they are doing, they just send the food out faster than a person can eat it." And he walked off. This is probably a fine place for a large group of people, the food is good, but don't bother if you are looking for a special night out with a handful of people. GW Fins has clearly abandoned the concept of fine dining and is focusing on the tour bus market. Too bad because it used to be a really special place. No more.

GW Fins is an actual “experience!” The waitstaff was so energized and accommodating. The food was like no other restaurant in the entire French Quarter. I highly recommend GW Fins to anyone visiting New Orleans!

We recently read that G.W. Fins was one of Nini Nguyen’s favorite New Orleans restaurants, so we checked it out and we’re so happy we did! The entire place is a well-oiled machine. Every person working here knew what was going on - from the lovely ladies at the hostess stand, to our server and food-runners. It was a breath of fresh air! Thank you

Very nice & courteous hostess. Waiter (simba) not so much. He wasn't super rude, but also not intentionally nice. Food was good.
