We had such a memorable meal eating here for the first time. Everything from the drinks to dessert was amazing! Make sure to get seated by Captain Ron’s section when you’re there. Would recommend to anyone!
The food and service were amazing. Great way to end a trip.
Great Food and Service. Extensive wine list. Double cut pretzel crusted Pork Chop is to die for. Ceasar salad to start, was one of the best I have had. Don’t pass on dessert. ALL the desserts are excellent. Emily was our waitress and did a outstanding job. It was a perfect dinner with the best piano music performed by Tony G.
The food was ever as delicious as it was 3 years ago when I first dined there. Service was amazing and so friendly even though it was there last night of the season due to the virus that shutting everything down
Pleasant, efficient non-intrusive service
Portions on the beef entrees were a bit small
Great service, excellent food.
Excellent service. Exceptional wine list. Wonderful food.
Piano player is good but it’s too loud in the dining room
Must visit restaurant in Beaver Creek! Order the Lobster mascarpone & tater tot appetizers (trust me). Our group of 4 had different entrees and everyone's food was outstanding. Drink of the night was the Kentucky Lullaby (another hit). We will be back!
Very good food, attentive service, and overall a very pleasant experience. The octopus appetizer was outstanding. I had elk which I thoroughly enjoyed. The preparation was very nice, the elk was cooked perfectly, and it was very tender. The prices are steep, but that's what you get in Beaver Creek. Also the portions are quite large. I would have been happier with a smaller portion for the main course with an appropriately smaller price, but I would go back because everything was delicious. Also, the wine list is outstanding (and pricey).
Grouse Mountain Grill is my preferred restaurant in Beaver; and I tried them all. The appetizers are awesome, the service, the guitar playing, everything is of high quality.
The Grouse Mountain Grill exemplifies fine dining in the Vail Valley. We eat there during each of our vacations in Beaver Creek and the food is consistently superb with a varied menu, outstanding service, and an excellent wine, beer, and cocktail selection.
Way over priced!
Pianist and environment were lovely, but the food quality was not what I would’ve expected for the price level. It was on the bland side and not very creative. Drinks were tasty, but glasses weren’t full. Service was overall slow and the wait staff tried to give us our neighbors’ food twice. The bread was one of our favorite things and that is sad for what we paid for dinner. Furthermore, we noted in our reservation we were celebrating a birthday and it was never acknowledged. Many other better options in Avon for a meal.
Great restaurant for a fine dining restaurant in Beaver Creek
In the past we loved Grouse mountain. Last night all of us found it to be disappointing. Food was good and service was good but neither were exceptional. And the price was very very high. Proportions were small as well.
Elk was fabulous. Salmon was not.
The food & service were very good....however the acoustics are not good, it's just too loud.
Dining room was very elegant. The live jazz piano player was a great touch. We sampled each other's meals in the party and everything was outstanding. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable with just about every question we could throw at her. Excellent service!
Nice location at the base of the mountain. Certainly not cheap but if you can afford it, it's worth it.
Pork chop and pumpkin soup phenomenal. Wait staff very attentive
We come every year when our family comes to ski Beaver Creek. We usually love the food and the service but this year was not as good. Not sure why but we were seated right next to the piano man and the bar (we have 3 kids so maybe this was why) so it was noisier than usual. Our waiter was not engaging, never asked our kids if they wanted any drinks, and barely checked on us. The food was mediocre this time around.
Not sure if it will continue to be on our list of must-dos next time we come.
We have been here many times over the past 20 years. We miss the old crew as the new owners have ruined the restaurant. Our dinner was unacceptable considering the price they charge. The service was awful and the food was very average. The waiter was rushed, there were many dirty dishes left on our table and the food was thrown down with no descriptions. The cost does not justify the bad service and average food. We're not going back.
Please accept our sincerest apology that we failed to meet your expectations. We always strive to give our guests an outstanding experience and I am saddened to hear that we failed you. Of the 7 servers scheduled, 6 were long time employees here at the Grouse. The kitchen staff remains mostly the same with only the Sous being hired within the last year. I would like to buy you dinner and show you that we have not changed a single thing since taking the reins of the restaurant.
The food surprised on the upside. Best meal we had in Beaver Creek. The waiter was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Really enjoyed our experience.
Great dinner in our hotel... service was wonderful and we really enjoyed the live music. Would probably try again next time we are in BC. I'd appreciate more vegetarian options !
Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate you and your opinion. We will work on more vegetarian options.
We couldn't have chosen a better restaurant to celebrate Valentine's Day. The food was delicious and excellently presented. Our waiter Harold and staff were very attentive without being obtrusive. The scallops were beautifully presented as was the pumpkin pasta dish. The sommelier helped us choose the perfect wine to accompany our meal ('14 Broc Cellars Chardonnay). We will return the next time we visit Beaver Creek.
Thank you so much for celebrating Valentines Day with us!
We went with two families with children- they were very accommodating to us. Great food as always.
Gracious service and delicious food. Live music and pleasant decor make for potentially wonderful ambiance on an evening when there are not throngs of kids chattering loudly, as though in a playground, thus drowning out the serene setting. Bar area appeared quieter than main dining room.
Service was outstanding. Food was delish. Can’t call it a value but worth every penny!
The restaurant is in a beautiful setting. A few things though. I ordered the scallops for $47 and I got three! The dish was very good but please three for $47?! Also, the waiter forgot both of our side dishes.
The food was delicious. My duck was prepared just right. I took one star away because of the wine recommendation. We generally know the CA cabs well, but never heard of the suggested wine. Turned out that neither of us liked it too much.
We never miss “Grouse” as we call it when we visit Beaver Creek. Great food, fun music from Tony, and awesome service!
Very nice. Food well prepared and tasty but not innovative given the price. Cozy ambiance.
Service was great, food below average for this type of restaurant. Greens in the Caesar salad were limp and watery, and really $3 for anchovy!
Rib eye was full of fat, tenderloin ok, but not much flavor.
Wines by the glass totally underwhelm for the price
Overall I would not recommend it
Great food and service. Check-in seems slow, and there is only 1 valet guy to take the car, so was a tad confusing when we pulled up and there was no one there for quite some time.
Service was very good...food fine. Tables are close together resulting in a lot of overflow conversations.
Will look for other restaurants for the price.
This place was recommend to us from a friend. we were staying in Vail and made the trip to Grouse Mtn Grill in Beaver Creek. We worth the time! highly recommend. we stayed a whole week and this was still our favorite place among all 6 of us... we will be back.
