Excellent food, service, ambiance and overall experience. One of our favorites in Vail area.
Grouse Mountain Grill always delivers. Great setting, great food, great staff. I've eaten here every year for the past four years. This particular dinner was exceptional. The steelhead trout entrée was exceptional. The house salad was one of a kind. Can you imagine saying the house salad was one of kind. It is at Grouse Mtn Grill. Service was excellent as always. Compliments all around.
Patio was beautiful and food was great. I asked for a medium rare steak but it was cooked closer to medium. Still very tender.
The food was excellent!
Upon arrival there was a large and rather noisy group in the bar area and our table was close to that area. We requested another table and were moved to another area.
We ordered from their off-season promotional menu. The food was outstanding and a really good bargain for this level restaurant. That said the desserts were nothing special but certainly OK.
The service was impeccable - the wait staff shared duties at all tables instead of having a single server so we were never waiting for anything.
We were disappointed...we had been here several times before and remembered it to be delicious, charming and outstanding service. Unfortunately hat wasn’t the case this time...
We took advantage of the 3 for $39 special and it was well worth it. Very happy with Grouse Mtn.
We had a wonderful dining experience from the moment we walked to our table! Our table had a picturesque view of the mountains. Our meal was delicious starting with the lamb meatballs, and the flatbread with local mushrooms! We had our favorite pretzel coated pork chop and also had the pork short rib, both great. We indulged in dessert and had the homemade ice cream and the chocolate tres leches cake, which was delicious! They are having their 3 course special now and it was definitely worth it. Trish, our server was terrific and made us laugh a lot. This is our favorite restaurant in Beaver Creek. You will not be disappointed!
Best restaurant in BC. Fresh local produce and delicious. Excellent team and knowledge on food and wine. Love a locally owned business also.
This place never fails to impress me. From the time you are greeted when you arrive at The Pines Lodge until the time you depart, the staff at The Grouse Mountain Grill caters to you in a way that makes you want to go back - soon. Our server, Rachel, has taken care of us for years and knows what we enjoy and how we enjoy it. Not only does she know what we like, she is an expert at pacing the experience. Add sommelier Rob and his great wine list to the mix and you have a world class dining experience. If you are lucky enough to be there on a night when Tony G is holding court on the piano in the bar things get even better. During our most recent visit the chef was featuring a spring tasting menu that included wild caught Steelhead - perfectly prepared and portioned. In the twenty some years we have been going to the Grouse Mountain Grill I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. If you want to enjoy the best dining experience in Beaver Creek, this is the place.
Great menu selection and the food was delicious! We will definitely return on our next trip.
The food was fresh, many of the ingredients were local and the service was fantastic! We reserved the board room for a business meal and the ambiance was very appropriate and elegant. I appreciated that we had one specific 'server' and he was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine recommendations. Booking through Open Table was easy as well.
The restaurant had an excellent view. We were seated promptly but the service was poor. Our waitperson really didn't understand the menu and had difficulty with the specials. The sommelier didn't seem to know how to decant wine. It was offseason and the menu was a very reasonably priced prix fixe menu. My sausage starter was really small. I never thought I'd say that as I appreciate the small portions at high end restaurants but the sausage was the size of a cigarette. My partner enjoyed her carrot soup. My fish was a bit dry but the vegetables on the plate were good. My partner had a fish dish which she described as a fancy version of fish and chips. My tres leches dessert was actually a chocolate cake that was fairly good despite being totally unauthentic. The wine was terrible. I should have sent it back instead of having it decanted.
I have always liked this restaurant and it continues to meet my expectations. I love the pork chop and have recommended it often. I have never been disappointed with anything I have had here. The wines by the glass are varied and very good. I would like a champagne, not just a sparkling wine, however.
Wonderful experience, the food was terrific and staff outstanding!
Mother's day dinner. The 39.00 menu for 3 course dinner was varied. I had cornbread crusted trout, it easy well prepared and very good. A side of asparagus was ample for two. With bread pudding for dessert I was more than full at dinners end. Waiter was attentive. We were seat ed by a window and had nice mountain view. As the room filled the noise level became high and made conversation difficult.
Awesome food and a very friendly staff. Had the 3 course Spring menu and didnt leave a bite of anything. The pork chop was incredible.
We went back for our 30th anniversary after eating there on our 25th. Chefs are outstanding the servers excellent. The flavors were simply amazing. Will start going for every anniversary.
First time there. Very good experience. $39.95 three course meal attracted us. A good deal for sure.
Grouse is one of the best restaurants in Beaver Creek.
Food was delicious. Elliott our waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu. Have a wonderful time.
This really was outstanding. I have this on my “must do” list now.
Superb! Food was delicious, ambiance and location mixed with the decor makes one feel real slick when fine dining. Service was excellent as well!
Never disappoints!!! We loved it! Executive chef Dave did an amazing job. Highly recommend. Best restaurant in the area!
Food was incredible service was moderate
Food & service were excellent. Music definitely too loud and intrusive which we asked to be turned down twice. We were at the back of the room and found the music to be annoyingly loud interfering with our conversation. The only negative to the entire evening was the music.
Food was not great. Wine even worse, two really bad glasses. Hostess was extremely rude. We would not go back.
Food was flavorful, ambiance was nice, and the service was excellent!
Our favorite dishes were the appetizers - the warm Lobster Mascarpone was one of the best and tastiest dishes ever had (will be dreaming about it when back home) and the crispy brussel sprouts were sweet, crispy, and cooked to perfection.
The main entrees were not as great as the starters but were still very good. Husband had their pretzel crusted pork chop and it was extremely tender, rich and full of flavor. I had the halibut special and it was a good piece of fish. The strawberry cobbler was yummy and interesting, with rhubarb, although I could have used more crust/crumbles.
Service was awesome...Dominick was extremely attentive, had great recommendations, and we wanted for nothing all evening! Would highly recommend
Overall, this place is great and your best fine dining option in Beaver Creek.
Little bit of a strange location / vibe, as it feels a little like you're sitting in the Pines Lodge lobby; however, once you get the food it all changes.
Memorable food and solid wine list. Unfortunately they've done a good job excluding any decent bottles under the $120 or so price point. Meatball app is decent but awful value -- $17 for 3 little meat balls, our party of 4 couldn't even share. Entrees all kill it and are probably underpriced. Thinking about it, when I go back I'll push my party to order 1.5 entrees per person and skip the appetizers.
Solid service, but honestly at properly nice places I don't like when the waitress does "too much" where it almost feels overbearing or even condescending.
Always been the best place at Beaver .
Great food. The brussel sprout snacks were fantastic. The duck was probably the best I’ve ever had. Beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended.
Food was good but took us 45 min to have it. Worst, my steak was not warm enough as well as my daughter’s plate. Probably food was waiting in the kitchen...
Overall good, but some problems you wouldn’t expect for such level of restaurant
Best Restaurant by far in the Valley. Fair prices, duck is amazing.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Grouse Mountain! I would give the entrees 4 stars but the appetizers, drinks, and wine list def get 5 Stars! Additionally, the service was fantastic! Great place for a nice dinner!!!
Carrot soup and octopus appetizer were amazing and beautiful. Meat entrees--veal, beef tenderloin, and elk loin were all outstanding. Only issue with the entrees was that the smoked mushrooms were much too smoky. Homemade gnocchi side dish was fantastic. Ice creams were incredible, but the strawberry rhubarb cobbler didn't work out--too much undercooked rhubarb and not enough strawberry. Enjoyed the remarkable views of the mountains and trees out the windows. Unfortunately, we were seated near a group with children who were quite loud, and the sound really carried in the larger room. For better ambience, go later in the evening, ask for seating in the smaller room near the piano and bar, and don't go on spring break.
We loved Grouse Mountain Grill!! Will definitely return when we come back to Beaver Creek. From the cocktails to dessert. It was outstanding!
Outstanding from start to finish. The service was excellent and well timed. After one of the best martinis ever, we started with the octopus and the house-made sausage (as suggested
by our server). Delicious! We also took the server’s recommendations for the entrees of duck, elk, and the pork chop. Each was memorable in its taste, texture, and presentation.
Some will think the prices are high, but the experience was well worth it. My only negative comment is in regard to the wine program. The prices are three to five times retail and the wine list had some mislabelings. I’ll willingly pay a restaurant markup on wine for a good sommelier, but the individual on duty was not able to thoroughly describe a wine, nor provide alternative recommendations. Even with that, it was a superb evening.
Excellent food and service was outstanding.
Great food. Extensive wine list. Table location overlooking the mountains was excellent!
Service started poorly ... A certain arrogance from the ‘front of the house’ on through to the server. Snooty. We felt second class as visitors to area. It was clear to us that locals received preferential treatment from table selection to staff attention. Probably to be expected, but a bit disappointing as we were expecting excellence. Things settled out as the evening went along. Food was very good, although pacing was rushed. Our selection of champagne and wine were good. The evening, overall, was enjoyable. Could have been ‘over the moon’ with better service attention. Not sure we will be back. So many other wonderful experiences available in the Vail Valley at better values with staff who want visitors’ business.
