Great Maple San Diego
Outdoor dining, counter bar, food bar, and full room dining. Cocktail cart for special cocktails and tostas delivered on a 7 foot board. Cheers
Great food and atmosphere. Wonderul service.
Came to Great Maple in San Diego for Easter Brunch. The service was impeccable! We each ordered a vanilla latte and I had the caramelized pineapple mimosa. The drinks were delicious! We ordered the pigs in a blanket and the Louisiana popover. Both menu items were very good! We ordered their famous maple bacon doughnuts to take home. Overall everything was tasted delicious! Would highly recommend.
Easter Brunch w/ family. Food was delicious, music way too loud
I didn't know that they had one menu for M-F and another menu for the weekend. I was sad this past Saturday when I couldn't get a turkey burger. I settled for the mushroom burger and it was just as good.
I sat out on their patio and it was lovely. The food was fabulous and I can't wait to go back!
Fantastic brunch spot! We were looking for a place that serves brunch on Saturdays, and this hit the spot. The menu selections are creative, house-made and delicious. Our server was wonderful; very attentive, and very helpful when we asked for recommendations. He described the dishes and preparation well, offering his opinion rather than the standard "_____ dish is very popular" response. The noise level was a little high but that added to the energy. I had the brisket hash, which was delicious. My husband loved the breakfast pot pie. My stepdad had the Cobb Salad, and my mom had the largest plate of fluffy pancakes I have ever seen. Both really enjoyed their dishes. We did not try the craft cocktails on this visit but they looked great. I would definitely recommend to a friend, and we are looking forward to returning!
Great Maple is definitely a "go-to" place for me. Breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner are all equally excellent here at the Washington Ave location, and the service is nonpareil, which makes it a no-brainer. Be sure to make a reservation. Sometimes the wait is long, but it's worth it.
I have visited this location many times in the past. Service seems to be getting worse and worse each time.
Our party had reservations. We were the only individuals standing at the counter to check in but everyone was too busy to assist. Another party walked in and although we were first, they were immediately greeted, assisted and seated without their full party.
The french toast was not the same. It was not as fluffy as once before. Instead it was very dense and drowned in syrup.
I doubt that I will return.
Good, flavorful food. Need to expand menu to include more than just one vegan main dish option.
Great food! Great service! Our new breakfast spot!
Lysetre our server was exceptionally good and pleasant
We have been here before and it always pleases
We brought friends who all loved it
Food awesome! As always! Seated quickly
I went out with friends before a show, and the food was really good. We had some mini popovers, and the pastry was amazing. I ordered a cioppino, and my friends ordered a Shepherd's pie and Salmon. Everyone loved what they had. One thing that I could comment is that it was a little heavy-handed on salt. (Although most restaurants are) In general, I loved the place, the food, and would definitely go back sometime soon!
Last visit they were a bit off their game. Was very busy and seating areas crowded next to each other, one inside table had a dog (not sure that is in compliance with health code in CA). Ordered appetizer and main course salad. After salad brought out inquired about appetizer and it was brought out a bit later. All food was very good as usual.
The food was amazing with a great atmosphere. Parking was a nightmare, but eventually found a spot near the dmv and walked
Amazing as always. Don't waste you're time with the abomination at UTC. This is the only Great Maple in SD
We went for a brunch with some friends to catch up after not seeing each other for a while, little did we know that they keep their music so loud that it was impossible to talk without screaming. With a room full of people there is really no need to keep the music so loud. We asked the waitress to lower it and in fairness they did, but it was still too loud.
The food is ok, but overpriced for what you get.
It is very annoying that even with a reservation they don't seat the party till "everyone is in the building", parking is extremely difficult to find especially on a Sunday with the farmers market nearby.
Love the food and the ambiance , service was good only thing i would change is they wouldnt sit us until our whole party was there... i reserved for 6 at 9:30 and 4 of us checked in on time and they said they wouldnt sit us until the other 2 arrived which had already told us they would be there about 10am so we had to wait outside until they arrived which beats the purpose of our reservation, other than that, everything was great!
Food is always amazing 😉!! Never a complaint !! Food is amazing my favorite is the hash n I make amazing chilaquiles but we tried yours n they were delicious 😋.. I wish I can go every week but prices a bit high .. understand the quality and quantity I get it.. 🙊🙉🙈 service was great 👍🏼 Thank you
Great Maple is a great place to meet and eat with friends. But it is so noisy we were shouting at each other. Loved the Lolly waffle!!!
Service was very slow. It was hard for us to even get refills for water.
This is great food and terrific service. I eat out 600+ meals a year and this is one of my top five restaurants. The outside feels like a 1960s Diner with signage to match but that’s completely misleading and the inside is a very nice upscale restaurant in a jazzy brassy theme. The menu is a single page but I dined there two nights in a row and both the variety and the flavors were very good. On the appetizers recommend the deviled eggs and the French fried portabella mushrooms. For the main course the crispy skin chicken risotto has terrific flavor and is the best risotto I’ve had. The Lamb and the ribs were equally good. Service was quick, pleasant and knowledgeable. Strong recommendation.
This was a fabulous way to end our vacation
Food was amazing 😉 especially the maple bacon 🥓 doughnuts 🍩
This was our 3rd time dining at Great Maple. Each time my husband and I have shared the magnificent a BLT with fries of course, because it is so big. BUT then I order French Toast to go for us to munch on for days, it is that good and that generous of a serving. Do dine here you will not be disappointed. The servers are also great. Roxie and John
My daughter did not get greeted like the other kids did, and I had mention it was her 4th birthday. We weren't even ask if we wanted any condiments, or anything.
Brunch- delicious but tons of food for 1 person, next time we will split. The maple bacon donuts were great too.
Welcoming staff and the menu is wonderful. We were for dinner and each of us ordered a different dish.
everyone was happy with their food. I had the pork ribs and would have them again (and again) yummy! The prices are very reasonable, making this an affordable luxury. The corkage fee is only $10 another plus
It's very loud, the food is good the drinks are better.
Amazing food, huge portions. Try the french toast!
Best brunch in San Diego 💗
Really delicious food; loud but fun atmosphere. Love the reservations. Lack of parking.
Excellent food and service! Took my two best friends for their first time and they loved it!
Was seated next to patio door and every time the door open cold wind came in.
Overall the food was terrific. Although the server was very nice and personable, we were given the wrong drink order and some dirty plates. I would go back for the food.
This place has AMAZING brunch. Everything looks so good on the menu I always want to order 5 different things. The prices are on the higher side, but that’s because the portions are HUGE. you’re basically getting two meals.
The donuts are a must if you have not had them before. I would also recommend the honey mule cocktail - so refreshing.
Already counting down the days until I can go back.
Service was great. Love that they take reservations for breakfast. Maple donuts are incredible. Popover was hard as a rock. All 4 entrees edible, but not a repeat. Restaurant a repeat? Probably not.
My favorite breakfast place in San Diego! I love the bacon maple donuts. They are amazing! I also had the French toast which is an ENORMOUS portion!
You gotta try the maple bacon donuts!!!
