Beautiful restaurant, unfortunately several of my family’s meals were sub par. My steak was undercooked and not seasoned and my son’s Waugu burger was extremely over cooked. Service was great but 2 out of the 4 entrees were poorly prepared

We walked in to an empty Gram and Dun restaurant, at 1:15 pm, and were told by the host there was only bar seating available. I then got on open table and made a reservation for 1:30 pm and told her we now have a reservation. She then took us directly to a table. She also didn’t mark our reservation as attended, so I’m now getting emails from open table wanting clarification on if we attended our reservation. Why did we have to go through this process when there were TEN open tables?

Hello Brennan, I am not sure why this happened. It's possible that the tables were marked for reservations within the window of you being there. We will go and mark your reservation attended.

Andrea was our waitress and she was FABULOUS! She was such a delight and made the Thanksgiving meal one to remember. The food and drinks were delicious! We ate here two years ago for Thanksgiving and had Joan as our waitress then. She was there today and we got to say hello to her again! It was a special day! Thank you, Andrea and Gram & Dun! Our favorite place for Thanksgiving in KC!

We were seated in the back room by the windows. The sun was shining directly into the faces of most of our group. There were no window shades.

Based on internet recommendations, we had dinner last night at Gram and Dun. We were extremely impressed with the ambiance and the food. The Shrimp and Grits, gumbo and Hanger Steak were exceptional. We arrived at 5:30 on a Friday night and it was a great experience. By 6:30, the restaurant tables were filled and the noise level was more.

Every time we come to Kansas City this is a must stop for us. It never disappoints and the food and service were great. Shrimp and grits is my go to and we had same server we’ve had before, Samantha. She is a doll.

Joan, our server, was absolutely amazing! She was so helpful answering our questions on the menu, and even provided us free champagne and dessert when we told her we had our first date at the restaurant and are now getting married. ALL of the staff were nothing but friendly and helpful.

Took a while for the drinks to be served, the mule variation was not good. Couldn’t taste the blackberry and sage. We had to ask for bread and butter plates. Butter plates only two instead of four plates. Shrimp and grits was fair, blackened spice on the shrimp was too much. Won’t bring guests from out of town again. Gram & Dunn used to be good, not anymore though!

horrible service. horrible manager, daniel. horrible everything. made my birthday dinner so uncomfortable and disappointing. My family and I used to love Gram & Dun because of the food and service but this time it was extremely disappointing and upsetting. Do better.

Gram & Dunn is popular but we struggle with the menu, and this visit was no exception. We've had the shrimp and grits and salmon before, both of which are good but not great. My wife ended up selecting a salad and the special chips (which are great). I had the burger, which had been recommended, but I found it just OK. The service was excellent and the ambience was fine. We ate a bit later than usual and the noise level, which can be high, was pretty moderate. The wine prices seem high for what generally is an undistinguished wine list. We'd love to call this great but it's not there yet.

Our party of 3 really enjoyed an outdoor dining experience on a beautiful KC evening. Our server had some great recommendations on menu items and cocktails. The food timing was perfect and we never felt rushed .

Everything was delicious. However, the chicken and waffles and my eggs came out lukewarm. The eggs were especially cold. Still good but I know they can do better. We still love it and will come back but I like hot eggs!

We really enjoyed our 30th anniversary dinner at Graham and Dun. With one exception. There should be an ENFORCED noise ordinance on the streets. Several different vehicles drove by with incredibly loud Rap Music playing, and would have to stop to wait for traffic. We had no choice but to stall our conversation until the noise level subsided. It would be nice if the City of KC, could address this issue. I'm sure that many other patrons might have the same complaint. Thank You for your inquiry. Bill Mitchell
