Probably the best Italian restaurant food ever had in Temecula

Reservations at 8 pm. Told it would be 15 more minutes. Owner kept checking around to see who needed a table. Didn’t even talk to us. Checked back with hostess at 8:45. Told us table was being cleared...at 9pm we walked out the door.

Very disappointed. No one really enjoyed the food. My daughter got salmon that was raw (it's not sushi), my veal parmesan was over cooked and cold and the seafood pasta special was fishy. Overall a big disappointment. It's a beautiful place but they really got to work on the quality of the food.

Always great food and service. We have been going there for years and have never left without having a wonderful experience. The service is exceptional and the meals are the real deal. I feel like I am back in Sicily every time I go. My families favorite place for our special occasions.

Beautiful but wish the table is round rather than rectangle because we all deaf so need to see everyone sign language on circle table as its hard to see other on rectangle
Good delicious appetizers and desserts! Entrees are ok..

We loved it! The food was amazing. Definitely the best Carbonara I have ever had. We loved that the owner comes around and greets guests. It’s so welcoming.

This Is very much like going to a restaurant and Italy. It’s very cozy in a strip mall so it doesn’t give a sense of being a high-end restaurant. The food is high end and their prices are higher than most Italian places but it’s worth it. They don’t skimp on meat or the quality of ingredients and it shows when you taste the food.

Once a quarter my three sisters and I meet for lunch with our 98 year old aunt and her two daughters, her caregivers. We always try to pick a nice restaurant with a large selection on the menu. Gourmet Italia met all of our expectations--great food, very friendly, helpful service.

Food & service was good & would go again. Authentic Italian food. Only thing that kept me from 5 star was my meatballs I ordered were actually cold. Everyone was enjoying their evening so I didn’t say anything.

They food delicious here and the seafood is very fresh. Unfortunately, i had already marked and stated this dinner reservation is for a birthday but the front receiver person did not inform our waitress. Our waitress was absolutely great and attentive! Will most likely go again if the opportunity allows it, just won’t plan anything special incase they dont read the extra notes on open table.

As always, another great experience at Gourmet Italia. Alex and his staff always make you feel special and the food is absolutely incredible. Our friends were dining there for the first time and being Italian, had doubts about our endorsement but left extremely impressed and sure to return.

Great food. Although seems a bit clickish. The owner seemed to talk to everyone he knew but looked at us and just walked by. Very disrespectful. Not sure we will go again.

We always dine at Gourmet Italia after wine tasting in Temecula but we were disappointed this time. We were 15 minutes early for 6:00 reservations and did not get seated until 6:40. We were with friends who needed to catch a flight so this was a real problem. Manager was unapologetic and did nothing to try to make it right. In fact, she seemed annoyed when we inquired how much longer it would be. When we finally got seated, our waiter was excellent but the food definitely was not as good as prior visits. Maybe it was an off night? We will give it another chance because we always enjoyed this restaurant it in the past.

This is one of the best restaurants in Temecula. Great wine list and the food is amazing. Away from the wineries so parking is easy.

This place has amazing food and service. The food is made with the highest quality. We went to Italy this last summer and this restaurant has better quality then what we found on vacation. Also, has a great wine list to choose from.

Service is just okay as is food. I hadn’t been back in years and it just seems almost like we’re an inconvenience to the restaurant.

Personally I think the reviews are higher than they should as people likely come here after spending the day in wine country and therefore anything is awesome after a day of drinking

With other available options nearby at a better value I don’t think we’ll be back for another 8 Years.

This restaurant is a gem! Our family is Italian, we are picky, and spoiled, being a great cook . It’s nice to go out and get good food . Reminds me of the quaint places in New York City . I would recommend this place for any occasion! Bon Appetit

Service was excellent as were the appetizers. We had the Gourmet Italia salad and the Bruschetta which was a big portion. The tomatoes tasted home grown and vine ripened. The olive tapenade was house made and delicious. The entrees were good (Veal Marsala and Manicotti) but by no means outstanding. Raymond and Francisco were excellent. It would have been nice to see the owner take a drink order or clear a plate rather than loudly hail for someone else to do it. In hindsight, we would have sat in the piano area, had drinks and shared the Charcuterie tray and some appies.

Loved the ambiance, service and food. The lemon dessert was phenomenal. Our only issue was the chicken in the fusilli. Tough cubes are not up to the standard of this restaurant.

I took my friend there for the first time because the restaurant is super nice and the food is good... I was slightly disappointed because I arrived on time to my reservation about 5minutes ahead but had to wait to be seated for 10 minutes. The server was nice but he was too slow in getting the beverages and appetizers out to us and the food took forever to come out. It was disappointing because all I ordered was a minestrone soup and salad and all she had was a manicotti. I would say we arrived at 0725 and we had our main course at about 830pm. Unacceptable! They need more servers or cooks.. That or do not turn over tables so fast that cannot be served immediately.

Went to Gourmet Italia the day after Valentine’s Day. Food was great, as always, but waiting 30 minutes when we booked a reservation was not great. And a couple who walked in without a reservation got seated before us, and in the main dining room (as opposed to the hallway where they stuck us), so not sure the utility of planning ahead and reserving. The food is great, and there aren’t a lot of other options in Temecula, but this experience makes me want to explore a bit more.

Went for Valentine's day with my fiancé and we both loved the ambiance and romantic feel of the restaurant and wine lounge. That night was a special Valentine's day four course meal that was simply delicious. Local food and wine included. Live piano music. Very good place.

I wish I could give this restaurant a better review but the service and management is so poor and I think they get away with it since they are the only game in town. Our drinks arrived 30 minutes after ordering, they first said they had the Branzino fish and then came back and said they didn't, their lasagne seemed like it had seen the inside of a microwave but our special pasta of the day was delicious. The server was scattered and the manager oblivious to our repeated requests for service and food. Hence we left without ordering any dessert or coffee because we wanted to be out of there :-(
