Gola is hands-down one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve visited in London. Tucked away in Fulham, this cosy spot offers an authentic Italian experience that’s hard to beat. The food is nothing short of amazing – every dish bursts with flavour, made with high-quality ingredients and a real passion for Italian cuisine. The wine list is equally impressive, with carefully curated selections that pair perfectly with the menu. What truly sets Gola apart, though, is the staff. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, they make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Whether you're after a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or just a fantastic meal, Gola delivers every time. Highly recommended

We were visiting an art gallery around the corner and knowing this in advance I looked for restaurants that we would enjoy. Our friends who we were going with wanted to find somewhere where they had heard of before, but I was persuaded by the reviews on this restaurant. The staff was very charming and helpful, friendly and not pushy. The food was delicious and I have the seabass main, which was exquisite. My wife had the sea bass carpaccio , which she thoroughly enjoyed. A very lovely evening.

We came here for an anniversary with high expectations, however it turned out to be really underwhelming and disappointing. We turned up at 7pm on a Friday evening and were the only customers there. We had the calamari and meatballs for starters. The calamari was extremely tough and I struggled to even cut it with a knife, let alone chew it. The meatballs were decent. For mains we had the clam linguini and spaghetti carbonara. The clam linguini was plain and unseasoned. The carbonara tasted okay, however the spaghetti was extremely thick and ruined the dish. Further to this the restaurant had a lingering smell from the loos which was very unpleasant when trying to eat. We also ordered a mojito which was also very unpleasant - how does one mess up a mojito?? This has me thinking that the majority of the high reviews are fake because there’s no way the food and experience lived up to its “reputation”.

Returned to Gola having moved away, to find it was just as great as it used to be, if not better. The staff and owner are lovely and the food was exceptional. It was quieter due to it being the school holidays and people being away, but ambient all the same. My expresso Martini could be the tiniest bit sweeter, but this is nitpicking and was still delicious. Looking forward to returning again soon. Thank you for having us Gola.
