Our family arrived in America from Carini, Sicily and Pr. Avellino, Naples, Italy over forty years ago. They were in search of a better life for themselves and for future generations. Deep rooted in our family traditions are a welcoming nature, delicious food and a strong family structure. These are the traditions that we based the foundation of our restaurant upon. Giovanni’s opened in 1999 and our family’s passion for food and love of Italy keeps us dedicated to serving the freshest and most authentic Italian cuisine in all of Naples.

    We have been to Giovanni's many times for dinner and take-out pizza. The restaurant can be very busy, but it's well managed so it's always a good experience. Food is outstanding and staff is pleasant and helpful if there are any questions regarding food prep. Dinner was excellent and VERY generous portions...almost too much food. Is that possible? But perhaps the best feature of Giovanni's is the value. If you arrive early for dinner, most bottles of wine, with two dinners, are 50% off! We had an excellent bottle of cabernet for half price which made a huge difference on the total tab. If you're a wine enthusiast, it's the place to go. Outstanding food and a great value. What's not to like? Highly recommended!

    Eaten at Giovanni’s many times over a decade and always totally pleased. Last night, the “straight up very dry martini with a twist” was barely a glass of cold water with a hint of gin flavor. The deep-fried calamari, usually succulent, sweet, and lightly beaded, was lukewarm, flavorless, and dry and super chewy and laying on a half dozen limp squares of lettuce. The entrees were delivered to the table 45 minutes to an hour after the appetizer. My entre was supposed to be penne pasta with vodka sauce. No such luck —- some other chewy pasta with a meat sauce devoid of hint of vodka flavor. My wife’s lasagna was not as good as in the past. The service generally was poor. During the long period of waiting for the main course the server was absent, not to be seen.

    Wonderful experience, my friend and I both had a Birthday meal, delicious main course and half price wine. Made to feel special with candles on cake and sung Happy Birthday-what more could you want on your Birthday? Excellent , attentive service. Well done Giovanni’s.

    Other than my chicken griglia being a little overcooked, everything else was perfect! Great service, great drinks! Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We would definitely dine there again.

    Delicious food served piping hot; and great rolls. Ceasar salad was delicious and although small I split it with my date. Nice wine selection. Truly a nice neighborhood Italian restaurant.

    This was our second time at Giovanni’s. Emma our waitress was very professional and personable. They had had two servers call in and she handled everything graciously. The martinis were nice and cold and the food was timed well and delicious. We will be back! Highly recommend for wholesome Italian meals.

    We had a party of 8, one of our guests did not receive his dinner until we all finished. He said his partner would be bringing it? Wasn’t charged for dinner , but had to take it home and eat alone! Unacceptable!

    Very disappointed. Server took order and didn’t return to table until time to give bill. Asked for grated cheese when pasta dish was brought to table and never received until meal was 95% completed. One patron asked for rigatoni pasta and got spaghetti. Since server never came to check on meal we waited until we could flag a hostess for help. Not the Giovanni’s I was told about. With so many Italian restaurants in the area it will be a while before we return.

    The tone of the meal is set by the server. Our server was both rude and unprofessional. It is unfortunate since the food at this restaurant is usually pretty good. We will probably go back there again but make a specific request to not be seated at this servers station.

    We made an online reservation for 5:30 in order to take advantage of the wine special and additionally to avoid some of the table demand for the later hour. The food is always great - we had the special which was a grouper prepared with Marsala sauce ( change from offering), veal parm, eggplant parm and one lonely backed potato ( one diner had stomach issues but didnt want to miss our stimulating company??!) We also enjoyed calamari for an app and started the dinner out perfectly - of course with the wonderful garlic rolls. Dessert also great - we always save room for homemade goodies. The service was a team effort and ensured us that we were well taken care of. Great meal with friends and Giovanni's wonderful preparation of all of our dinners! Kudos to Gio's !!!

    Loud and attentive but relaxed service but food remains outstanding. There is an annoying 4% fee for using a credit card. I get it. Raise your prices a little bit and charge credit card users. It is a tough economy. Overall a great experience.

    Our server was nice but apparently not typically a server. Everything was slow. One person at our table had to open some of our wine, another got up a few times to get the water pitcher and refill our glasses, another actually went in the restaurant to get more wine glasses. My spouse and I were not impressed with the food. I had the Pasta Giovanni which was drenched in olive oil & garlic but lacked much eggplant or tomato. My spouse's Rigatoni Vodka appeared to have been made with ricotta cheese rather than heavy cream and it was not to his liking. We could have prepared these dishes better at home. The best thing was the rolls....they are amazing! We sat outside and it was cute but loud due to the parking lot and drivers who liked to frequently honk right by our table.

    We enjoyed our cheese manicotti entrees tremendously. Service was backwards, tho’ - salad and soup came before our cocktails, then the entrees, and rolls after, upon request. Seemed rushed and less enjoyable this way, so if wait staff follow the proper serving sequence, it would be a five star review.

    The food was excellent as always. Our waiter, Marius (sp?) was great - attentive when needed. However, the room was too cold. Even my husband who is never cold complained about the temperature.
