Specializing in game , the Gashouse is an excellent casual location for a great meal. The buffalo was outstanding, the venison was cooked perfectly and the lamb was fantastic. I wasn't as impressed with the duck tenders but that could easily be overlooked. The atmosphere is rustic hunter cabin. If you want vegan and don't like mounted heads this is not the restaurant for you. However, if you enjoy game meat or simply want to try it, this is where to go. It fills fast so either book early, arrive early or expect a wait. We booked for 5:30 and it was empty but by 6:15 the place was packed.
Fantastic menu and the food was outstanding. The atmosphere is pure Colorado and I would recommend it to anyone.
Good local restaurant. Decor all hunting trophies. Very rustic. Food is delicious. Crab cakes and fresh fish very tasty. Very attentive waitress.
My pasta was swimming in gravy and the game was tough & chewy!
The decoration and ambiance of the restaurant was great. It was very unique decor and the feeling once seated was very homey in there. The menu has a very large selection which was nice and they offer a many variations to their menu as well. My biggest complaint is with the steak that was ordered. Both steaks at our table were undercooked, and in fact mine was so rare that I was unable to eat almost half of it ( and this is from someone who likes their steak on the rare side). The rest of the food was delicious and I was impressed with the shrimp as it was very tasty for being so far from the ocean.
The food was excellent. Good choice of wines. The buffalo was very tender.
We’ve been going to the Gashouse for years and sadly they have started cutting corners. The service was rushed. The food was served with plastic containers and some of the portions were quite small. As an example we ordered the Rocky Mountain oysters and only got one large one and two very small pieces. We might go back if the reviews indicate they have corrected the issues. Otherwise we will go elsewhere.
What a gem! Stayed in Beaver Creek but found Gashouse. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Steak was tender, calamari was great! Definitely recommend!
Interesting neighborhood eatery. Specializing in wild game, but large and interesting offerings. Very friendly and great service.
The waiter was stoned. But he sobered up some and knew the menu. Open Table had us get an early reservation for no reason. The place was half empty. The meat was good. Not great. Elk was dry. The sides were forgettable. It’s a bar. Next to a gas station. Skippable. If you go, the “jackalope” rabbit sausage was unique and the best item we sampled.
