40th anniversary week celebration
Gannon’s never disappoints. Great service, wonderful food in a beautiful setting! They were especially attentive to us on our 50th anniversary! Thank you!
did not receive food that was ordered. ordered eggs over easy and received poached eggs. had
to wait for quite awhile for replacement and other four people were thru eating when I got my correct
order. then potatoes were cold. bad overall experience. prior visits have all been good, with beautiful view.
It was amazing our server Cody was awesome. Everything was amazing. Food, service and the view was amazing. The little touches they did for our anniversary where small but memorable which was perfect. On arrival they gave us a card signed by the entire staff. Was just an awesome experience
Great view, good service, overall a very pleasant place to eat.
Good food and excellent service for most of the evening. Our waiter took a break and left us hanging for a while towards the end but that was a mixed blessing since we ended up drinking less wine and skipped dessert. Great location.
We love Gannon’s! It’s a great place for a sunset, happy hour, special occasion, or jut for a bite after golf!
Service is top-notch! And the food is always really good and reliable.
Ops fish was dry, which is pretty hard to do since the fish is oily to begin with.
Gannon’s was the perfect choice for brunch and our first meal of 2019. Service was soooo good, and the meals were excellent. The price was totally reasonable - definitely great value for the money - highly recommend.
Wonderful evening from start to finish! My daughter was in town for NYE and our party of 5 enjoyed the service and the delicious food! Wonderful evening!
New Year’s Eve
Great NYE Buffet. Happy New Year!
Wonderful buffet! Amazing spread! Outdoor seating afforded a wonderful sunset view. Would go again in a heartbeat!
Very bad customer service, we had a reservation, we walked in at a time that the whole place was empty, then the fromt desk server instructed the waitress to seat us at a sunny table right under the sun. When we asked for a different table she was like oh all are reserved..? Really? Then finally she seated us at a nearby window table.
Food was bad, not hot, left uncovered with so many flies around! Don’t you know how unhealthy is to leave shrimp and other seafood in such a condition!
We love gallons. It has a nice style, the stuff is always very very nice and excellent service, the food is great and a good menu. We love it.
Fish special was dry and food was cold. Did not enjoy this restaurant
Interesting flavours, excellent service. If you can sit on the terrace, the view and ambiance is fabulous.
Favorite cocktail: Road to Hana
Favorite Entree: Cashew Crusted Fish, pork ribs.
We had such a fantastic dinner at Gannon's. The food and drinks were excellent, I hope to come back next time I'm on the island!
Nice ambience and generous portion of fish. Good service. We had made reservations but did have to wait about 15 to 20 min to get seated only to find out our table was always available from the time we walked in as we were joking that the table “over there” would be perfect as we were standing and looking around.
The dinner was a celebration of my daughters birthday and we had eaten at Gannon's before. When I reserved the table, I had indicated it was for a special event and this was not acknowledged by any staff. If that's the case, why ask when booking? Gannon's was not the place it had been and everything from the moment we arrived until we left was sub-standard. We arrived before our reserved time but waited 15 minutes to be seated while we could see unused tables that had not been cleared. The service during the meal was slow, the food came after other tables that arrived after us were served, we had to ask other waiters to ask our waiter to come to the table for drink refreshment and the food did not meet our expectations. The scallop risotto was bland and the rest of the food average. Overall, not the value for money or quality Gannon advertises.
We have always enjoyed Chef Bev Gannon’s cuisine at Hali’imaile General Store so we decided to try her restaurant in Wailea. Gannon’s is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the ocean and Molokini. But what impressed us the most was the food—delicious fresh renditions of het Hawaiian Regional Cuisine. We loved the lobster wontons and the ahi poke as well as our fish of the day main courses. Thanks to Timothy for his courteous and professional service. We will b back.
Best paella I’ve ever had. That includes paella in Barcelona. Amazing dinner.
The best poke on the island! Amazing sunset views. Waitstaff is awesome!
Absolutely the worst service we have ever experienced. Was not overly busy took server close to an hour before we got our bottle of wine. To many great places in Maui don’t waste your time with this place
Excellent food, service and great outdoor seating! Perfect Xmas dinner
Christmas buffet. Didn’t get to enjoy the typical menu.
Excellent food and service - the two keys to a fine restaurant
We booked Christmas dinner here and it was a buffet style dinner. I am not typically a fan of buffets as I feel the quality is always lacking and this was not exception. It was over $300 for 4 of us without additional beverages added and it was a complete waste of money. I would have been happier hitting the Horhito's taco truck. The quality to price ratio was WAY OFF. Very disappointing.
I didn’t realize Gannon’s was serving a buffet for Christmas dinner when I made reservations on Open Table. If I had known, I wouldn’t have booked this restaurant. It was way too pricey. The food selection was basic yet adequate, however, not what one would expect to pay at $70 a person - minus any drinks with the exception of water. The food was “so-so” although the sweet potatoes were delicious. Even though the interior and exterior is in need of a makeover, the view is stunning. The staff was friendly .
Would have liked prime rib instead of New your steak
I want to know upfront during a reservation when a restaurant decides to offer a buffet instead of the usual menu I was looking forward to.
Crappy evening. Crappy food and too expensive for a crappy buffet.
Disappointed with the Christmas Eve buffet. The meat was tough and the biscuits were hard. The best part was the ambiance and the low noise level.
wonderful xmas eve buffet. beautiful views. high quality not often seen on a buffet.
Made a reservation for dinner. When we arrived we inform the only thing available was the buffet. We made no other plans for Christmas Eve and were unaware that it was a buffet only option at $70 per head. We were there and had a beautiful view but the food was OK with few options. The service was terrible having to go find a waiter if you needed something. Will go there for the view and a drink. But will not go back for food
The server we had was nice but had terrible body order, it became the focus of our conversation for a while. it was distracting to say the lease. Other than the gag factor it was a great time with good food.
Gannon’s is a scenic, lovely restaurant. The food and service were excellent. We visit Gannon’s every time we come to Hawaii. We also tell our friends about it.
My only disappointment this time was the rudeness of the woman who seated us. We wanted a table in a shaded area and she told us tables were reserved for reservations. At the time, 5:00 PM, the place was literally empty. Since we also had reservations, we felt as though she was telling us that we weren’t important. After rolling her eyes at us, she gave us what we wanted. Even though the restaurant was busy, there were many open tables when we left.
I think when people are patronizing your house they should be treated with respect and courtesy, if not kindness.
My wife and I had an anniversary dinner here and the service was terrible. We were seated by an empty table for 12 and quickly that table had a big loud family arrive. My opinion is that you would keep larger parties to themselves and not put them or us in that matter next to these tables. Especially when they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. Once the big group came in, the single patio server was overwhelmed and the minimal service we got became even less. We couldn’t get out of there quick enough, even taking a dessert to go. I am disappointed that this was not memorable place as we share a last name with this restaurants name. The staff could care less about mostly everything about our visit. I will never recommend this place and definitely tell friends and family to stay away. Super disappointed, especially considering the amount of money it cost to eat there.
The vegetarian pumpkin mascarpone ravioli is to die for. One of the best vegetarian dishes I have ever had at a restaurant, and definitely the best I've had in Maui. The service was excellent-- very friendly and accommodating. Sunset view was also awesome. Thanks for a great night!
The food was very good. The service was very good. The Ambience was terrible. Gannon's rented the restaurant for a wedding reception. They should not have accepted our reservations knowing that we would have people moving in out of the place around us, kids running all around unmonitored, and loud music playing so that we were constantly distracted. The music was modestly loud at first but then mid meal it was simply loud. Disco - dance music!! I empathize with the wedding couple but If one is speding well over $200 on a meal for two, the restaurant should ensure that the setting is special on the good side. Obviously, the our value as a customer was minimal. They did not forewarn us that the reception would be ongoing and loud. We learned that the hard way. I am still upset.
