The food quality is inferior now, and the service is slow. We have eaten here many times, but this will be the last.

Great Guacamole and food. Quite noisy for a Thursday. A couple crying--screaming kiddos.

**Location:** Near Buffalo Thunder Hilton Resort **Service and Ambience:** - The service was excellent. - The ambience was superb, creating a pleasant dining experience. **Food:** - The salsa was good. - The posole, however, was average, lacking puréed red chili flavor. **Recommendation:** - Would recommend visiting and plan to return when in the area.

Ambiance and service are wonderful at Gabriels. We've always had a pleasant experience and particularly enjoy their patio. Our tableside guacamole was excellent and my wife enjoyed her carnitas plate. I ordered the rellenos and was disappointed. Primarily because they were soaked in a watery chile sauce that made them soggy. The taste was good but the presentation and texture were off for me. We will definitely go back again but the rellenos are a hard pass for me next time. Incidentally, I am sure I have ordered them there in the past and didn't have this problem before so maybe they changed their recipe.

Beautiful patio, fun atmosphere and great New Mexican food. Best of all they take reservations which a lot of New Mexican places in Santa Fe don’t. Ten minute drive outside SF but worth it.

Our waiter was fabulous and attentive and the gentleman who made our delicious table-side guacamole was warm and cheerful. Our meal was very good, too.

We effectively had Easter Brunch at Gabriel’s. We have eaten there for decades, usually several times a year. We live in Los Alamos, with limited dining options, and it’s perhaps the closest good restaurant outside of Los Alamos. They don’t have a brunch menu or a special menu for Easter. They did have a special meal, adobo chicken, that we didn’t have because it seemed heavy. Both of us had what was effectively the prickly pear margarita. Instead of her typical crab enchilada, my wife had the chile relleno, and loved it. For the first time in a while I had the soft tacos al carbon. It was very good. For dessert, my wife had the flan, which we always enjoy, while I had the bananas Vallarta, essentially an excellent banana split. Service was excellent. It was a little cold to eat on the patio, but it is an excellent experience when a bit warmer.

The food was good, but the service was unusual and cold. Hostess was cold upon arrival, there was no warm New Mexican welcome. Our waiter seemed friendly but was rushed and inattentive. The table side guacamole guy worked so fast and that the table side experience was not really an experience, just a rushed project - but the guacamole was good. Seven of us at the table, only six plates arrived. Waited 15 minutes hoping the waiter would bring the last plate, we had to get up and ask the manager to find the missing plate. We ordered sopapillas for the table and asked for the bread to come with our meals, they didn’t arrive until we were done with our food , so that was a big time failure. If you’re New Mexican, sopapillas are typically eaten with the main course. The room was very loud and I could barely hear the others at my table, having a conversation was difficult. We did notice the staff was rushed and moved very quickly, but also not overly helpful and inattentive, which created to a less than relaxing experience. Food was food and portions are large. Parking lot was accommodating and the outdoor dining areas looked enjoyable.
