Steakhouse | Eugene, Eugene

We took my 8 year old grandson there for his birthday and he loves trains, so we sat in a dining car. Service was wonderful, the atmosphere was enjoyable and the dinner was delicious. My only complaint is the menu is too eclectic for my taste - I'm more a traditional eater and I only found the prime rib with mashed potatoes and a vegetable to be more my taste. I love seafood but I enjoy simple ingredients and just couldn't pick any of the options except for the crab cakes which I've had before. I get it that people coming there and paying high prices want something different, but I want to know what I'm eating. Others in the party felt the same way and most of us had steak or prime rib or hamburgers. I wish you had at least 1 simple fish dinner like a baked cod or something like a baked shrimp or scallop dinner. Don't worry we'll be back, the beef was delicious and my grandson truly enjoyed his free dessert for his birthday! More
