Freds - Beverly Hills -At Barneys New York Ratings and Reviews
Great food terrible service. My friend ordered a salad with salmon. Salad came without salmon. Asked 3 people to get our waiter he did not return for 15 minutes finally came 35 minutes late. We were all done eating and to make it worse it arrived raw. Waiter did not offer to take salad off our bill. Ruined a lovely lunch
This last visit was disappointing. Barneys was having trouble getting their computer system to talk to open table’s. Consequently, the restaurant had no record of my booking. They graciously acknowledged the problem after I showed them my open table confirmation on my phone.
I have had their herb omelet/scramble before. This time it was way over done. I should have sent it back but I didn’t want my guests to wait for a redo before starting their food.
Not Barneys best performance.
I have fined here countless times and have always loved it so I will go back, but my experience today was terrible. The food was not good at all, and the service was extremely slow. Not sure what happened and am hoping it was just a one time bad experience!!
1. When I arrived about 10 minutes early, I was told my guests had not arrived--then I spotted them on the other side of the restaurant waiting for me. It was just lucky I saw them--we could have been waiting a long time for each other to "arrive."
2. The pasta "with tomatoes" had about 1 cherry tomato and a lot of sauce.
3. The turkey burger was just a lump of dry ground turkey with a slice of cheese--no seasoning or additions to make the meat flavorful or juicy.
No intention of returning; plenty of better places to eat in Beverly Hills.
We were the last reservation of the day-- 5pm. The service (Michael was our waiter) was exceptional and considerate. I had added a note in my reservation that I needed a fruit plate for my Raw Vegan Gluten-Free guest, and Fred's accommodated us. I had the Vegan Salad (and skipped the onion) was perfection. The quinoa to kale ratio was perfectly balanced, and everything was delicious!
