   Steak cooked perfectly! Crab cakes amazing! Sides were delicious! What can I say besides, Great food! Great experience! Very expensive for average customer. But worth the expense if you can swing it!

   This is definitely a place where most couples with children are only gonna go maybe once a month at most due to the price. One of the TOP 5 steaks ive ever eaten.

    Positives: seated promptly at reservation time; servers were appropriately attentive and cordial; martini took awhile to arrive, but was good; by-the-glass wine selections were very good and reasonably-priced; salad was fresh, crispy, and house green goddess dressing was excellent. Negatives: lobster bisque was watery (not properly thick with a good roux base), tasted unpleasantly fishy, and contained no lobster; filet seemed to be of good quality, but instead of medium-rare-plus (split the difference between medium-rare and medium) as ordered, was severely charred on the outside and raw inside; Bernaise sauce was incredibly salty and super-thick, more like a paste than a sauce; cheese course was just weird — Gouda was fine, but of the other two cheeses, one was tasteless and the other was dry+crumbly+tasteless — the fruit chutney was good, but the spicy-hot pickled carrots were jarringly disgusting and should all go into the disposal.

    This was our second visit to the restaurant and once again it was an excellent dinner. Our wait staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. We highly recommend Frankie for special occasions.

    Colossal shrimp were only jumbo at best, and you only got 3. Duck leg appetizer was tough. Tons of meat couldn’t even be cut off of the bone, plus the meat barely had any seasoning and they threw a blueberry sauce on it, which was subpar. Steaks and cocktails were best part. Crème brûlée sugar was legit burnt and black so tasted like charcoal. Custard of the crème brûlée didn’t have much flavor. They were out of potatoes gratin so got mashed potatoes that were basically cold when they came. Lava cake dessert was dry and definitely didn’t seem like it was made in-house. There was no fudge inside,either, plus they charge u $4 for a tiny scoop of icecream to go with it.

    Fabulous place to eat!! We got the Filet and it had great flavor. The sides were out of this world. Staff was very friendly and very attentive. Made you feel like you were top priority...Will definitely be back.

    My steak was almost raw-definitely not medium rare plus so they took it back and 23 minutes later, I was served a piece of well done beef-no pink at all and dry. I declined to eat it. They did realize the issue and comped my meal which I appreciated but nevertheless, not the fine dining night I was hoping for.

    Very slow service. Went for restaurant week. After asking for the restaurant week menu- we were basically ignored. Since it was a limited menu- I guess that meant we got limited service. Ordered an appetizer and drinks. Never got the drink. It was an hour before we got our salads. Ordered the filet medium well- it came rare. It had good flavor but I ate around the edge. My husband finished the bloody middle. Could we have asked for it to be cooked more? Nope- waitress never came back- and another Waitress was serving the table beside us - her back was to us every time she came over - so we couldn’t flag her down. Very very disappointed. They announced that any of the servers would be willing to help - but couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Asked for ice water with my meal- did I get it- nope! But I was certainly charged 6.00 for “still” water when we sat down. I was asked if I wanted sparkling or still water. I said still- but I guess I should have been more direct with saying tap- I’m not sure-

    We had to wait 15 min after our reservation time for seating. This food is good but VERY expensive for what you get. Sides are average, but no better restaurant steak in town. Service is excellent which is why I am willing to pay for this food occasionally. The space is looking outdated and pretty dark for my preference.

    I have eaten at Rowland's in the past without a hitch--always quite good, though never worth the ridiculously high prices. I am not the person who has ever chosen to go there. During this week's Restaurant Week, although Micah did an outstanding job serving us, the food was bland, the steak tough, the runny mashed potatoes arrived cold, as did the rolls. To add insult to injury, he place counted the side dish as a "course." Also, the salad was all but inedible, because it was swimming in dressing. I really will try to never return.

    I love this restaurant and we regularly take customers to Frankie Rowland’s. Everything was great except the texture of my ribeye. It was the toughest ribeye I have ever eaten. It was like chewing rubber. I didn’t complain in front of my customer because he was my guest.

    Went for birthday dinner with wife and daughter last night. Crab-stuffed mushroom appetizer was delicious. KC steak was also excellent. Cons include a $25 cost for my 3-yr old's chicken tenders and fries. Ridiculous!! Wait and host stuff need to operate at a higher level, one that complements the food quality and prices. They were mostly young and lacked the sophistication that one should expect from a highly-rated steakhouse. You would never see this at a top steakhouse in a major city. Still a solid experience. Nice atmosphere and food.

    My husband and I love Frankie’s, but our experience New Year’s Eve was different than what it normally is. Food and drinks were excellent but our server was disappointing. She let us sit for a while before drinks, when she finally came over without introducing herself or acknowledging we sat for a while, she just asked us what type of water we wanted. When she brought the waters, she seemed extremely annoyed and as if she were throwing the waters down. We had to ask for the specials and after we started ordering she said ‘I should have told you what we were out of“ because there was a list of things. Our bill was also not correct with only a party of 4, split 2 ways.

    Steak was fantastic, one of the best ever. Our server Ellen was awesome and very accommodating especially once we realized the sweet potato gnocchi (we wanted bathe blue cheese gnocchi but they were not serving it) was too sweet and almost dessert like. She subbed us some onion rings and let me tell you, I put those way up on the list of best steakhouse family sides I’ve ever had.

    The food was prepared exactly as described and very tasty. My lamb chops were among the best I have ever eaten and the filet mignon was done perfectly. The sides were exactly to our liking. The service was impeccable; attentive without being intrusive. Suggestions for wine were very much appreciated and paired well with the food.

    Over 70+ years I've dined in many fine restaurants from Singapore to Paris, and many private clubs, from the Pacific Club in Honolulu (40+ year member), the Olympic Club in SF, the Cosmos Club in D.C., and the Carlton Club in London, and I don't write bad reviews -- but our last dinner at FR was a DISASTER. To explain: FR displays a Weller bourbon in a glass case, so I asked for A SHOT after dinner. It was good, not great. Then I looked at my bill -- $75! (most expensive steak = $75) This absurd price WAS NOT ON ANY LIST GIVEN TO ME or otherwise told, so I figured it was a mistake, and asked for a correction. The bar manager appeared and curtly informed me $75 was justified because it's "allocated." When I replied that "in all fairness" I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THE PRICE, she FALSELY accused me of being "disruptive" and got a bouncer to LOUDLY & RUDELY ORDER us to "PAY! and GET OUT! or I'm calling the COPS!" (Me, my wife of 47 years, and two senior, tea-total friends, one handicapped.) It was disgraceful. We've NEVER been treated this way. This once fine restaurant has been ruined by unethical brutes playing Third World games. I CANNOT and WILL NOT patronize OR recommend FR's again.
