Lovely atmosphere, great food, amazing wait staff. Cannot recommend this place enough especially if you're open to more traditional Italian. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable on both the food and cocktails! Will definitely come back.

Have visited Fortunato's before and will continue to return. Parking is problematic with the lot across from Lucky's being closed. Restaurant was crowded, a good thing, but that also increased noise level. Enjoyed the duck ragu and orchettia (sp) along with a nice bottle of wine. Always get the saluma dessert but his time the shortbread was not as crispy. Service was very good. Waiter knew the menu and wine list and his wine recommendation was spot on. Will return again soon.

I have been to Fortunato plenty of times and this visit was as good as the others. The staff is always so sweet and tentative to the table. For Roanoke I firmly feel the guys at Fortunato know how to train their staff and have a beautiful and positive environment. Most importantly in my opinion, clean. I can’t say enough about how great these guys establishments are. We had a large party this time and they were able to cater to us wonderfully. Thank you Fortunato family for giving my friends and I another memorable experience!

Fortunato Italian restaurant has all the qualities that set the tone for a place where you can have a relaxing dining experience or cozy up with family and friends to have good conversation to accompany a fitting meal. It's also the perfect place to make connections with others and yourself. The decor is a combination of the old with the modern, and classy details like a beautiful glass candlelight on each table, quality glass, and silverware accentuate a pleasant drinking and dining experience. The drink and food were exquisite. The service was extraordinary. The dining experience as a whole was marvelous. Even up to the end, when as I was headed to my car, I heard my name being called and it was a good friend of mine, Joe Cobb, the Vice Mayor of the City of Roanoke and now running for Mayor, going to eat at Fortunato.

We had a great experience at Fortunato. It was quiet and appeared to be a date night favorite. It was easy to find parking. The food was great. The service was great. I would definitely recommend it.
