Tried the Italian Paella It was amazing!
Excellent service and waiter, most everything was pretty tasty :)
Love this little gem. Food consistently good, service excellent and great atmosphere. Would like to see some of my favorites back on the menu like the mushroom risotto and the roasted chicken. ☺️
We had lunch and ordered the shrimp salad and I asked if it was a wedge salad or if it was a regular salad and they told me it was regular cut up iceberg lettuce. when they serve the salad there was just 1/2 a head of iceberg lettuce dropped on a plate with shrimp dropped on top. it was served with ranch dressing which was so watery it was like water, yucky. There was 4 tables seated at the restaurant and two waiters but it took forever to get our drinks and our lunch. I absolutely will not eat at this restaurant again.
This is twice in the last month my family & I have visited this restaurant for brunch. The food & ambiance were fine although the food is pricier than it should be in my opinion. What is lacking is the sense of urgency by the staff. On both occasions, although there were what appeared to be several employees working, it took them more than 10 minutes just to bring us coffee & water.
We had a large party and our server was trying to accommodate us, but the restaurant and the bar is clearly understaffed. The pizza was okay, the spaghetti and meatballs were terrible and everything is quite expensive for what you get. We ordered room service one morning and the poached eggs were basically raw and inedible. On a positive note, we ate here again for lunch during because we were staying at the hotel and the Fromaggio burger was excellent.
For at least the past four years this restaurant has done an amazing Mother’s Day brunch buffet, this year they did not do a buffet although it was listed as a buffet brunch on open table.
The food was average at best, the service was incredibly slow, and the restaurant was not full.
This was an extremely disappoint experience in comparison to past years, we will not eat there again.
We wanted a quiet place to talk and they sat us at a table in a separate room. Worked out great for us.
Nice dinner, asked for a modification on the main course and it seemed like a big deal to not have a starch. Wine selection was excellent, would try again
A little overpriced for a bowl of oatmeal
Really friendly service
These BBQ ribs were awesome... considering I am not in Texas and that this is not a smoke house
This was a very unpleasant experience. They had a prix fixe menu that was very expensive and only mediocre food -- almost $200 for my wife and I. It should have been about $120-$130. An Italian-named restaurant should know the difference between linguini and fettuccine noodles but they apparently don't. When I called the waiter on the variation from what the menu said, he tried to convince me that the chef tries experimenting and the fettucini really was linguini. He also told me they ran out of bread before our 7 pm reservation. Duh!
Unfortunately it was my first time so I did not order enough to judge the food. The service and the environment was good so based off of that I would come back.
This is a Motel restaurant. I stuck to a really good sounding appetizer which was the meatballs with bacon over polenta. It did take care of my appetite. Not as good as I was hoping, but still good. They did bring me a real good garlic buns that went well with the oil and vinegar if one chooses. I may venture into other parts of their menu when I stay again.
Our group had a wonderful time and delicious dishes at the restaurant. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive.
Happy New Year!
My neighbor and I decided to have a nice New Year's Eve dinner at Formaggio. From the time we checked in, everyone was so kind and welcoming. The waiter was terrific. The food was GREAT! And it was lively enough to be fun, but not loud like some restaurants where you have to shout across the table to be heard.
We had a lovely time! And I've always enjoyed every meal I've had at Formaggio.
Love the ease of making a reservation on Open Table. It was Christmas Day, and very hard finding a place to go at the last minute. We had planned on having a family get together, however; the weather spoiled that plan.
So glad we found Formaggio at the Ranch Cordova Marriott!
Was magnificent nice good vibes
Nice thanksgiving meal with friends. Jordan A was really sweet and helpful.
Formaggio should be ashamed of the “Thanksgiving Dinner” they served. They falsely advertised that they would serve a special Thanksgiving Meal. No real carved turkey; no stuffing; no cranberry sauce; no sweet potato pie.
This was a rip-off. Please correct!
Thanksgiving dinner was first-rate. The food was prepared well and very savory, the portions were good and the server was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I would definitely return here for another Thanksgiving meal. Highly recommended!
Prime Rib was just okay, I have had better here in the past. The Fish was obviously not fresh and for the price was sub-par. Sides were okay as was the salad bar. Deserts were terrible!
Food was excellent! The ambience was good but could be better. Our server was Carson, very nice guy and great server.
Great service, the food is always good and I love the changing menu. Whenever we get a night to ourselves this is our favorite spot!
not bad but it would be nice if there was more separation between the bar area and the dining area
Located inside Mariott Hotel. From pictures and review I read a few years ago I assumed this would be an impressive gourmet venue to dine plus I usually can depend on Open Table recommendations. Met my friend for breakfast/lunch at 11:am. No one at reservation desk. We waited and talked for about 5 minutes until someone offered to seat us. I said I had reservations. Never asked my name which I finally volunteered as we were being seated. One other person in restaurant. We were told they stopped serving breakfast at 11am. but we might able to order breakfast...if we wanted...we did! My cauliflower omelet was okay other than the cheese sauce tasted much like melted Velveeta. It came with hash browns that were not great. A piece of fruit or other garnish would have been a nice touch! My friend had the All American which was probably the better choice! She said it was good! Both were pricey considering our surroundings. Perhaps the dinner experience might be more as expected....but I won't return to find out! Fromaggio definitely did not live up to its website expectations.
Our server - Rolin - was efficient, brought catsup and hot sauce, and left two carafes of coffee - one regular and one decaf - on our table!
The food was delicious, but cocktails left a bit to be desired. Also country music is not a personal fave, but was wrong for the venue.
Unfortunately, we were never even waited on once we arrived at the restaurant. Waited many minutes at the front desk to be seated, then when someone other than the hostess showed up he did not know where the book was to log in our Open Table reservation. We waited close to 20 minutes at the table and when no one showed up, not even a bus person with water, we decided to leave. Its really too bad, as the restaurant is close to our home and we are Marriott Reward members, so very disappointing to be sure. Star ratings for food are not accurate, but I can't send without putting something
I was looking for something outside and this fit the bill. Dinner poolside very nice
Lisa was our server and was very pleasant. We were a party of 4 and ordered two pizzas. Undoubtedly, one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had.
Service has always been an issue here and it always takes along time to get a drink from the bar. We will be back but it will probably be another three or fours years. There are too many other good restaurants to eat and spend your money.
My 3rd time dining here. Consistantly good food, well-portioned, served very artisticly. Good wait staff, might need to be reminded more than once, but overall, a very pleasant dining experience.
The food was fantastic; after a salad and amazing hot bread, I had blackened salmon over creamy pasta and my wife had spaghetti bolognese. Our server; Lisa, was extremely pleasant, made great suggestions and provided outstanding service.
Food was cold and not good value. Most restaurants in Marriott Hotels is quite good. This was not up to standard. Disappointing.
To expensive, I'd go to Ruth Crisp in Roseville, .ca for the price I payed at Marriott's Formaggio
Very nice restaurant. Friendly & courteous staff. Excellent food, but a bit pricey.
Exceptional food for a hotel location. Great service, attentive staff.
Very slow in delivery of food. Wait staff was very good and nice but kitchen is way too slow
Went for an early dinner on January 12 as we were seeing the medium, John Edward's, show later that evening. We had to wait for someone to seat us as there was only the bartender and 1 wait staff. The restaurant was not busy, but we waited 45 minutes for our food, which was only partly warm by the time we finally got it. Overall, the food was good (we had the power lunch which was skirt steak, French fries, salad, soup and a root beer float for $22) and worth the price, but it rated only 3 stars since everything was only lukewarm. I would have given more stars if the food was piping hot. Although there was an event at the hotel that night, the restaurant was understaffed and the bartender ended up being our wait staff so we really didn't get the service we expected, but he was friendly when interacting with us.
