FlameStone American Grill - Oldsmar
Starters such as Tableside Guacamole or Stone Oven Flat Breads make your first choice a tough one. FlameStone’s Tableside Guacamole is an experience that is unlike any guacamole you have ever tasted. Made tableside using a traditional Molcajete, we only use Haas Avocados and the freshest ingredients possible. It is truly amazing.
If a great steak is your weakness, you’ll love our steaks. At FlameStone we grill our steaks over an open flame and only use Stock Yards Chicago Angus Beef that is 28 day aged and that are hand cut on premises.
Steaks were supposed to be medium rare but arrived medium well.
We were charged for a "Birthday Cake". Possibly our misunderstanding.
Overall, a good restaurant but pricey.
Bryan was very attentive without being intrusive, a very nice skill to have! The food was delicious and attractively presented.
Thank you for the free dessert coupon, the carrot cake was superb!
We had a porterhouse and a filet, so delicious!! We both had a wedge salad and we shared a fried Oreo dessert. All the food was excellent. Only thing was it was so dark in there, we couldn't barely read the menus. Otherwise, go and Enjoy!!
Pleasant server. But we'll never know if he took our orders correctly. Three of us ordered burgers. All were overcooked and served with no garnishes, as listed in the menu. My burger had an overcooked crust (I ordered medium/well) and as per the menu, it should have been filled with green fried tomato and pimento, pickle, lettuce - no garnishes, nothing. My friend sent her burger back. She likes hers pink, but was heavily overcooked. The meal was very disappointing. Smart looking restaurant. Won't be returning.
We were greeted and seated promptly in a comfortable booth. We loved our pitcher of pineapple sangria and the seafood bisque we shared was fantastic.
Linda ordered meat loaf, which I thought was odd but turned out to be an amazing delicious stack of spiced sirloin. She says it’s the best meat loaf she’s ever tasted and I had to try it. Yes, it’s the best.
I had shrimp and scallops Alfredo. Delicious! Done to perfection and the pasta was wonderful as well.
Server Michelle knew everything we asked about and the atmosphere was pleasant — people could converse easily if they chose to.
So we have a new favorite place. Flamestone.
Great service food was good had Filet Mignon 2 sides good drinks ck it out
My husband ordered a salad and the dressing tasted spoiled. It was removed from the bill however no offer of anything in it’s place was made. I had their special which was a filet prepared at medium rare. It came almost raw. I felt bad sending it back but didn’t eat it. They only took $10 off my$50 meal for something I had recook at home...
Great food and the waitress was awesome!
Great place excellent food ! Jacob is awesome waiter !
Love Flame Stone American Grill! We bring friends there when they visit. Tony, our waiter, was great. Very attentive. It was our daughter's birthday and he made it special. Thank you.
Food was delicious! Service was excellent! We will be back again and again.
Always consistent and good. You can't go wrong to go here!
Sea bass was excellent! Get it with the white cheddar polenta. Excellent wine pairing with the J Lohr chard too.
Great place, service, Food (Steaks) need more flavor as far as seasoning. I will be returning.
We had reservations and still had to wait for 4 hostesses to seat others before seating us. Not the best greeting FlameStone. Our waitress was 5 star. She MADE the evening. We had a calamari appetizer which was different than the run of the mill fried calamari and quite tasty. The wedge salad was nice but there was too much dressing on it. The steak was a thin cut rib eye and tasted okay but nothing to write home about by far the best part of this meal was the bourbon sweet mash and our waitress. Previous meals have been better so we’ll go back and still recommend but this evening was just okay.
Normally I’ve always had a wonderful experience at FlameStone. This time it was all bad! Too much time went by before our appetizer arrived. Our waitress refilled our drinks but never gave any indication of why the food took so long our dinner took 30-45 to arrive. When the food arrived it was ice cold. Our waitress was no where to be seen most of the night. Never offered us desserts just brought my birthday cake and the check. And we went there for s’mores. I was so mad we just left. Really disappointed!
Everything about this restaurant is average at best. There are too many better restaurants to enjoy before going back to an average one.
This was honestly the best personal frittata I’ve ever eaten that I didn’t make at home.
A little noisy in the main restaurant. Quieter in the front room. Very good service, food was very good. Highly recommended
Flamestone has been our preferred place to eat for many years. However, our last visit was a bit disappointing. The charge premium prices for what, this time, was a merely above average meal. The food was good and the service very good. But, little things detracted from the overall experience. We were not offered bread and late in the meal when was inquired about it we were told that a customer has to ask for bread, the server cannot offer it to them. I understand not wanting to waste food, but merely asking the customer would solve that problem. We had a bowl of soup, a steak salad,a side Caesar salad, grouper scampi, with one dessert. The bill was $107 without tip. Clearly premium prices, which I do not mind paying for premium meals but this experience was far from premium.
Chicken in my salad was very salty and very heavy garlic
First time dining at FlameStone and definitely will not be the last! From the hostess greeting us to the wait staff and food was AMAZING!!
Dinner with group of 6 last evening at Flamestone. Years since we had been there and excited to go again. Arrived at 645. Seated promptly. Server had no clue about happy hour but said we had to go to the bar. Went to the bar. Ordered 6 drinks. Happy hour not honored as posted on website. Food average. Have no idea what (pile of mush) veggie -that no one ate - was served but it was not red mashed or campfire veggies as on online menu. S’mores- Stale graham crackers. All agreed we will not be returning.
We went for my birthday and received a card at the table and a free piece of cake. Very nice! The service and food were very good. My only complaint is that the spaghetti squash was way too sweet. But I will be back, lots of great things on the menu!
We have been to FlameStone many times. The night of our anniversary, we went there and I was thrilled when they offered us a booth in the bar area. There are only two booths there, and I thought it would be somewhat private and less noisy than the rest of the restaurant. It was private, all right. We barely saw our waiter. The service was horrendous. Food was extremely slow to arrive, as were the drinks. Every time our waiter came by our table, he apologized.
When I complained about the lack of service at the concierge stand, the manager introduced herself and apologized profusely. After that, we saw the waiter TOO much--and the manager never circled back to check with us to see how things were.
They did give us a complimentary slice of cake for our anniversary, though, which was a nice touch (and delicious!). The French onion soup, which we usually love, wasn't very good that evening, but our steaks were wonderful, as were the mashed potatoes. We will probably go back again, although it may take awhile.
Food wasn’t as good as it has been in the past.
Our server Karen was excellent.
Scallops and shrimp over linguine was delicious! My husband had prime rib that was perfectly cooked. Both my friend and husband raves about green beans. Prices are a little high but I took half my meal home so good portions. Oh, and the white sangria was beautiful- pineapple delicious-ness!
The service was great-hernando was right on top of things. The artichoke appetizer was very good and the buffalo cauliflower was excellent. I had the special of the day- sirloin sliders, they were a bit messy to eat but they were great.
Only because the service was so bad I would not recommend this restaurant, our waitress forgot our drinks, my dinner salad, my son's order, our appetizers were cold as was one of entrees, poor service
Service was prompt & frequent. Food was perfect. Ambiance was well accomplished with proper lighting, and noise level was appropriate. Thank you for a great evening experience.
Birthday . Food was amazing. Awesome service!
We waiting over 45 minutes for our food. There excuse was, "sorry we had two big parties". That is not our problem. They should of had enough staff working knowing they had these parties. We were basically abandoned by our waiter, really no fault of his, but rather poor management. Our food finally showed up and it was COLD. We were starving so we just ate it. They removed the yellow tail sapper from the menu and replaced it with Molcajete Surf And Turf. BIG MISTAKE.... it was bland, cold and the description was fire grilled skirt steak and shrimp. I think I found 5 little nuggets of steak inside the MOUND of rice. AWE FULL Dish!! The first manager who stopped by the table, and I quote said " Sorry, I wish there was something I could do for you". Nothing else, she just walked away. As we waited for the check another manager stopped by and apologized for the experience. She said she was working the line and noticed our food was sitting and acknowledge it took over 40 minutes to cook. She was a complete 180 of the first manager. She asked if we could please come back and give them another try, offered us a $25 gift card. She apologized for the first managers POOR handling of the situation. When you pay top dollar for dinner it should not take that long and it should definitely not be cold. We will be giving Flame Stone a break.
Very nice atmosphere, great food, and great service. Steak was cooked past rare, which was requested, but they comped our dessert.
Good food and good service
