Welcome to Riwaz Beaconsfield.It’s long been twice-Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar's dream to champion the cuisines of India, especially the sub-cultures of Bohri, Ismaili, Moplah, Chettiars, amongst others. The menu of creatively enticing flavours and spices includes dishes created and cooked by Atul’s grandmother. Lunch will showcase our set 2 and 3 course menu plus the Jugalbandi set menu of four courses for two to share (£35pp). For a time-honoured experience, the evening A La Carte menu offers characteristic main courses complemented by a great selection of wines, cocktails and customary Indian drinks. A gourmet 7-course Tasting Menu (£65 pp) will be available in the early evenings (Sunday to Thursday). Had a fantastic meal at Chet’s, a Thai-Americana gem in Shepherd’s Bush that blends the bold, smoky flavors of Southeast Asia with the nostalgic comforts of a classic American diner. I went for the BBQ Rice Bowl with Grilled Aubergine (£12)—a deliciously smoky, well-balanced dish that really hit the spot. My friend had the Tuna Melt (£16), and wow, this wasn’t your standard sandwich! The tuna larb filling, packed with mint, coriander, red onion, and Kewpie mayo, was next-level. Add melted American cheese and a crispy, golden bread exterior, and it’s easily one of the best tuna melts I’ve tried. The coffee was great, rounding out the meal nicely, though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the crisps on the side—just a personal preference. Overall, a fantastic spot with unique flavors, a cool vibe, and well-executed dishes. Would I return? Absolutely.
