Welcome to Riwaz Beaconsfield.It’s long been twice-Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar's dream to champion the cuisines of India, especially the sub-cultures of Bohri, Ismaili, Moplah, Chettiars, amongst others. The menu of creatively enticing flavours and spices includes dishes created and cooked by Atul’s grandmother. Lunch will showcase our set 2 and 3 course menu plus the Jugalbandi set menu of four courses for two to share (£35pp). For a time-honoured experience, the evening A La Carte menu offers characteristic main courses complemented by a great selection of wines, cocktails and customary Indian drinks. A gourmet 7-course Tasting Menu (£65 pp) will be available in the early evenings (Sunday to Thursday). All of this customary deliciousness pays homage Atul’s Indian upbringing and the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, West Bengali, Orissa, and other regions.

The Black Horse in the village of Fulmer is nestled between Gerrards Cross and Pinewood Studios. The 17th Century craftsman’s cottage has gradually been extended to form a charming country pub full of nooks and crannies. Under new ownership, The Black Horse has recently undergone extensive refurbishment both inside and out, creating one of the nicest pub environments in the area.Food is our passion and we will never compromise on quality. We are proud of our seasonally changing menus, simple, yet exciting using the finest ingredients and locally sourced produce. Certain dishes have become specialities such as our sticky ribs and homemade 8oz burgers. Our beef has been aged for a minimum of 35 days and the roast beef served on Sundays is unrivalled. Had a fantastic meal at Chet’s, a Thai-Americana gem in Shepherd’s Bush that blends the bold, smoky flavors of Southeast Asia with the nostalgic comforts of a classic American diner. I went for the BBQ Rice Bowl with Grilled Aubergine (£12)—a deliciously smoky, well-balanced dish that really hit the spot. My friend had the Tuna Melt (£16), and wow, this wasn’t your standard sandwich! The tuna larb filling, packed with mint, coriander, red onion, and Kewpie mayo, was next-level. Add melted American cheese and a crispy, golden bread exterior, and it’s easily one of the best tuna melts I’ve tried. The coffee was great, rounding out the meal nicely, though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the crisps on the side—just a personal preference. Overall, a fantastic spot with unique flavors, a cool vibe, and well-executed dishes. Would I return? Absolutely.
