Best Restaurants with a Wood Oven in Warehouse District

Every time I go to Shaya I have a great experience. We started with the hummus with warm mushrooms and their hot pita- outstanding! Also had the falafel app. The halloumi was great, the peach and honey sauce around it a surprise and a treat. The ayres lamb sandwich was fantastic, a ground lamb quesadilla with tzatziki and a side of slaw. A wonderful meal all the way around.

Service, pizza, and drinks were great. Always have a fabulous time at Domenica.

I have loved this place in the past, but it’s clear that Chef Shaya has moved on to bigger and better and not boots on the ground anymore. There’s little maintenance things that need done all over the place, bar stools with broken supports, crooked sconces, warn surfaces. The same is true with the food. It used to be incredibly refined, and now it’s just sort of lost its sparkle. As a local, I used to view it as a place going out of my way for. Now I view it as another overpriced hotel lobby restaurant. Better than the average in that class, but in that same class nonetheless.

Nice dinner spot. Very nice and elegant inside. Our waitress Jasmine was wonderful. Manager was also very kind!
