- JjeffreyvipLos Angeles •50 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoA superb meal . Special shout out to server Gabby: she has brought her skills and keen understanding to Austin ! Truly a professional with a decisive but appropriately relaxed style: make sure you ask for her. The calamari appetizer is simply sui generis. The lobster buccatini: world class. Caramel crème dessert? Otherwordly. Our guests, who had never been here before adored every aspect of the night. Thank you all, again.More infoPerla's Seafood and Oyster BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Downtown•4.8

The staff did a wonderful job serving all 12 of our party. Highly recommend!More infoVerbenaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary Mexican• Downtown•4.5
- LLourdesHouston •2 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024Met my cousins here for Thanksgiving. VERDAD was a new experience for all of us and we were duly impressed. For starters, the calamari was to die for, and for the main dish we each had was something unique and delicious. The service was impeccable, the setting and decor were tasteful and trendy, and every dish a work of culinary art. We will definitely return! Honestly, the only thing out of “sync” for me was the background music. It’s tough to choose tunes for “modern Mexican” I suppose, but I might have preferred some lively classical guitar genre or smooth Latin-inspired jazz. In any case, the tunes in the background weren’t jarring or annoying…just a little out of place. Looking forward to another visit soon!More infoVERDAD True Modern MexicanPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Austin•4.7
