Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in New Haven

Very pleasant surprise. Food quality was excellent and service prompt.

Luke Brasserie is a stand out in the fine dining space. We opted for the three course lunch menu where you select two options and the chef selects the third. The precision of the cooking is otherworldly. Just one example--the white asparagus with truffle emulsion and piave cheese sprinkled on top was absolutely spectacular. Piave is similar to parmesan but more subtle, and that's the point--the combination with the truffle makes the dish just different enough to elicit a wow! New Haven has some nice spots with excellent food, but Luke is clearly aspiring to an entirely new level. Loved it!

Delicious, little neighborhood gem. All the food was great. Owner was super personable and nice, talked with us and gave us some free DELICIOUS dessert. Will come back soon.

Legit great food, service, and vibe. Get the pineapple and black bean salsa, guacamole, tacos, plantains, and rice!

Gloomy Monday Night In New Haven with the weather but the cocktails, a strawberry caprioska, crafted by Walter, the manager/owner along with the beef heart skewers off the dinner menu made for the perfect night off and evening, a quick way to turn your day around. A great staple and go to spot if your at Yale and/or in downtown New Haven.
