The ambiance strikes a rare balance between coastal ease and refined elegance. The seasonal floral arrangements, thoughtfully placed throughout the space, added a romantic and sensory touch—subtle yet impactful, and clearly chosen with care. Service was attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and every course was artfully presented—often plated on handcrafted ceramics made by Chef Elijah’s mother, adding a personal and soulful layer to the experience. Standouts included the bluefin tuna with strawberry and basil, a surprising yet perfectly balanced pairing, and the white nectarine dessert, which was as visually stunning as it was delicious. A highlight of the evening came during the palate cleanser course, when Chef Elijah personally greeted us and invited us into Lucien’s stunning open kitchen, where old and new come together beautifully. A shiny, large French oven gleamed next to a brick open-fire cooking area, grounding the space with warmth and tradition while showcasing modern culinary technique. Delicious food and wonderful service! I love Bird Rock and find that area so charming. I would love the salad to be an easier dish to eat but the presentation is gorgeous.
