Casual, coastal restaurant in the North Loop. Reservations taken for dining room only, patio seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. Please check in with hosts upon arrival for patio seating.Although named for the boats used to catch lobster, Smack Shack was launched as a food truck in 2010 serving lobster rolls from a land-locked downtown Minneapolis parking lot.     I took 2 business friends for lunch in the outside patio. The sandwiches were delicious, the ambiance delightful and they both want to return to Bacio for our next lunch!

    We had a nice dinner before a show, celebrating my birthday. The rigatoni dish was hot and delicious. My husband enjoyed the sushi. I had a yummy lavender cocktail, too. Good service, overall, but the server forgot to bring ketchup for our son’s fries. The server gave me a complimentary birthday brownie and ice cream, which was nice.

    Food and drinks were really great! It was nice to try a combination that I wouldn’t ordinarily go for. The crust on the pizzas was fantastic. Our server was great at handling allergies and explaining the restaurant’s allergy procedures.
