Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Navy Yard

Great service very generous portions would come back before Kennedy center

This was my second time having afternoon tea at The St. Regis. A friend of mine came all the was from Philadelphia because I highly recommended us meet up there. As the decor, food, and service were excellent, the one thing I noted was that there were bugs (mosquitoes?) flying around by the window. My friend either didn't seem to notice, or wasn't agitated by them, which is why I didn't bring it up to our waiter.

This is a dining "experience". The Willard is beautiful and Peacock Alley has it's own history and reputation. The tea is a wonderful afternoon for those who are looking for something beyond the ordinary. The staff took very good care of my husband and I. The tea selection is robust, the food was fantastic (and really just the right amount), and the ambiance was perfect. If you let them know, they will help you celebrate a special occasion, as they did for my birthday by giving me a special birthday cupcake. I highly recommend this afternoon tea!

This is a great place to have the high tea. I came to celebrate my birthday and multiple staff came in to wish me a happy birthday. I also got a cupcake with candles, and the harpest played the birthday song. It was a truly special experience
