Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Mercer Island

We have been to Fogrose when they were at their Bellevue location and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food, environment, service, very well executed. The current incarnation in Kirkland is a bit different. The feel is much more casual and the setting a mix between a kids birthday party setting - there is a basket of costume tiaras and hats to wear - and a quickly assembled pop up/temporary space. The star of the show is the quality and sophistication of the food which felt out of place in the casual surrounding and was delicious and fresh. A great mix of savory and sweet. A great variety of teas not quite as hot as I’d prefer but flavorful.

Great experience for my mom and I and my niece (5-years-old). It was my niece's first time at tea and they were so kind, attentive, and caring. Took care of my gluten free allergies as well. Great taste and quality. Only negative, is some of the items weren't as kid friendly, but my niece enjoyed trying everything!

The Queen Mary tea was absolute perfection. The tea was so delicious along with the afternoon tea delights. I truly enjoyed this tea tasting and food experience.

It was fun to enjoy tea and the tower of delicious sandwiches, scones, and sweets. Servers were very gracious and answered our many questions. They also seated us in as quiet a location as possible as we have hearing problems. The only drawback is the price which is high enough that one wouldn't go for tea very often.

We did the Fairmont at home dinner for Christmas special. The food was delicious. We ordered for 2-4 people and had enough food for 6-8 Definitely a good option for someone interested in hosting a thanksgiving dinner but shy about the cooking.
