A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! Wonderful. Went on a Thursday evening after the holidays. Ate early because we were seeing an 8 pm opera. Beautiful space. Delicious food. Excellent cocktails. Friendly staff. Great service. Not cheap. However, there were fresh flowers and real candles on the table, and a live person playing the piano. Highly recommend it.

Went here for brunch and was impressed with the food, high-end ambience, and their affordable bottomless brunch deal. It’s rare to find a boozy brunch with such an upscale atmosphere. Customer service was excellent - the servers were quick to refill our drinks and very attentive to us!

I was so excited to have a chance to dine at Emilys while I was in NY. I got the burger because Dax Shepard talks about it so often on his Armchair Expert podcast and it did not disappoint!! It was so delicious and the waffle fries were also crispy and seasoned perfectly! I’m already looking forward to my next visit so I can have it again. Oh and the cocktails were delicious as well! :)
