Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). A lovely restaurant! The atmosphere was energetic and service was excellent. Food was good, salad and artichoke appetizer excellent. Hamburger was good, shrimps were a bit dried out, but had a good taste. It was a birthday celebration and nothing was done to acknowledge it by the restaurant. Oh well!!! Would definitely recommend the RH Rooftop. Hope to return in the spring or summer to sit outside.

Great bone marrow appetizer and best NY strip in NYC. The dry age and charcoal grilled flavor is a home run. Beautiful room. Although the acoustics made it a little too loud.
