A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). I made reservations here because it is the oldest tavern in NYC and has a lot of cool history. But was pleasantly surprised that it also has delicious food. I loved everything about this place.

The overall experience at Temple Court is exceptional. Surprisingly, the prices are more reasonable than those of most high-end restaurants in NYC, despite being a luxury dining space within a hotel. The romantic atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for couples or anyone seeking a pleasant and peaceful setting for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The servers and hosts are attentive and detail-oriented, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Temple Court is a solid 10/10 in every aspect.
