Best Vegan Restaurants in Mission Hills

My husband and I came to Born and Raised for dinner on his birthday. We started with cocktails at the bar before our table was ready, and the drinks were excellent. They also gave him a handwritten note wishing him a happy birthday, which was a kind touch. The staff we found to be friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. Having eaten at restaurants all over the world, we enjoyed B&R as much if not more than other, more expensive meals. The swanky interior combined with the genuine spectacle- tableside Caesar, drink carts, sommelier cart, and dessert cart- created a warm and winning atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was fantastic from start to finish. We had a decadent birthday meal which was genuinely excellent at every bite. I truly don't think you could go wrong with any choice on this menu (and we tried many of the choices). We also elected to do the red wine flight which was priced reasonably and an interesting and fun combination of rich reds- the sommelier even came to check on us multiple times to see how we were enjoying it with different foods. Run, don't walk, to B&R.

Sat at the chef’s counter. It’s a well run, clean, drama free kitchen — restaurant was full on a Monday night and they were really pumping out the food. Great staff and management. John the waiter was terrific. Food was impeccable. Amuse buche and a sorbet palate cleanser included in the experience. Overall, a great experience and not at all over-priced.

Celebrated sister’s graduation. Waitress was amazing, food was superb.
