The Beacon is a labor of love from Tina Houston, owner of Reid’s Café & Catering Co., established here in the High Country since 1999. From our kitchen to our staff, we strive for innovation and discovery in all facets of our company. We love the intentional, the specific, and the well-cared-for. We work closely with our Blue Ridge farmers, producers, and NC fisherman to present deliberate and thoughtful food and beverage menus. Our Bar highlights inspiring cocktails and an impressive biodynamic wine program. Artisanal Restaurant is open seasonally from May-October end. Contemporary American Fine Dining in a rustic yet elegant environment.     The Beacon is one of the top restaurants in the area and an absolute go-to. The food is absolutely stellar. While the price is on the higher end as it is more upscale dining, the value is there. You get more than enough food. My husband and I love to split an appetizer, a salad, an entree, or more often we get our own entree...it's just so hard to choose. You most certainly won't leave hungry. There's a difference between hospitality and service and the team excels in the area of hospitality. You will leave wanting to come back and try another of their amazing sounding menu items. Don't sleep on this gem in the High Country.
