Since 1995, we have been proudly serving the locals, students and visitors to Chapel Hill. A lot has changed in both our town and the craft beer industry since we opened our doors as the culmination of a business school plan I wrote my senior year at UNC. Today, we celebrate our North Carolina roots with a made-from-scratch menu focused on Carolina foods in a newly renovated building. I hope you enjoy a true Carolina experience here at Carolina Brewery and will look for our award winning beers on your travels throughout the Carolinas. Cheers, Robert PoitrasOwner/Founder

The food was great and the service was excellent overall, however when we arrived the first thing the host told us was that there was another reservation at 8 pm behind us but, “that leaves you plenty of time” (Our reservation was at 6:30 pm for 6 people). This made us feel a bit rushed and the comment felt unnecessary. Managing overbookings is the responsibility of the restaurant not the guest. Our server on the other hand was excellent and never brought up the time and the food was great.

Bombolo is one of the most excellent restauarants in Chapel Hill and Durham; we are repeat customers dining in CH/Durham for 30 years, originally from New Orleans. We never miss getting cocktails and mocktails at our Bombolo table and we order 1-2 salads bc the greens seem to be fresh from a mysterious garden. Bombolo designs and serves some of the finest and most creative pasta, seafood (we always get something with lobster and fish) and bread dishes among a very high quality playing field of chefs, cooks and restauranteurs including our other favorites: the also uber-original amazing Vimala's CurryBlossom, Lantern, La Sienna, the Washington Duke Inn, the Durham Hotel, Thai Cafe, Local Family Owned Durham/University Drive Twisted Noodle and the Amazing Hotel 21-C. We are amazed by our Incredibly Impressive Restaurants; bc this is some of the most difficult work and service! This special night at Bombolo was our 6th special occasion/date night over the last few years.
