Over the years I have traveled extensively throughout Italy in search of new ideas, recipes, and great wines to bring back to Three Tomatoes. The source of inspiration continues to be the simple, fresh, healthy and local foods of Trattoria style cooking. Eating in a Trattoria in Italy is like eating with an Italian family. The mood can be relaxed or boisterous, but always friendly. It is a home away from home and a gathering place for friends. I have tried to capture the warmth of the trattoria kitchen with its open fire, the aroma of simmering sauces, roasted meats, grilled fish and pizza baking in our custom built wood fired oven. Our newly revised wine list has been enhanced by selections of distinction and value inspired by attending Vinitaly, Slow Food's Terra Madre and visiting vineyards throughout Italy, Sicily and Sardinia. Three Tomatoes has captured some of the spirit that makes wine, food, and conviviality such an important part of trattoria life.

Masks are required for entry, all tables are spaced at minimum 6ft apart, disposable menus are in use at this time and the main dining room has an air purifier to keep air circulating. If you'd like a more private experience, we offer private rooms for rent for parties of 2-16 guests. Please note, per the Vermont regulations, we can currently seat no more than 2 households per table. **The charming candle-lit dining rooms at the inn are open nightly. Dining at the inn will exceed even the highest expectations. Each night, Chef Ryan Cheney and team dazzle the palates of both our guests and the public with some of the finest cuisine in New England, made from fresh Vermont products. Tantalizing dinner entrees with aperitifs from our full-service bar and extensive wine list make dining here an experience that you’ll replay in your mind again and again.

    Food is delicious and consistent. Really the only worthy place for a good meal in Hanover other than the Hanover Inn. Delicious starter cauliflower miso is our favorite. Main courses are value for money and deep tasty flavors , well presented. Very enjoyable especially if you get a window seat. Inside towards the bar is a little too dark / high tables. Would welcome some big salads on the menu in the summer. Odd that tables are always sticky. I think it’s the surface rather than anything else. Owner and servers were polite and welcoming. I have gone back 3 times this month.

    for here the food is good, if you're not from here or you have traveled and tasted amazing foods, the food is ok. I love the outside seating
