The name, translating roughly to “see you later alligator,” captures the friendly and fun spirit of the restaurant.     Our party arrived early for our reservation, but the hostess made the effort to seat us quickly. The server was friendly and attentive, allowing us time to settle in and visit before taking our order. Food arrived perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Most importantly, at no time during our 2+ hours there did we feel rushed to leave. All this makes Absinthe a great choice for pre- and post- performance meals.

    We had amazing service both from our waiter and the rest of the staff. Water glasses never went dry and they were quick to take orders and more beverages. Fabulous music and drinks. I loved all the food except one item we ordered. Seriously the best service from any bar/club I’ve been to. Additionally they were very accommodating with reservation changes

    The restaurant has a tasting menu only. There are some extras you can order, and you can add a wine/sake pairing. I had the wine/sake pairing. I liked the sake a lot. I am more of a wine person but the sake was dry and went well with the food. I did not order any additions. There was plenty of food as it was. There were nice touches, like plenty of seaweed wrappers for the roll your own sushi. The beef course came with three kinds of kimchi or salad, plus rice. Everything had a lot of flavors. The spice level was mild. The ambience was great. They played jazz on the sound system. The tables are all in one long row, so it stayed quiet as the restaurant filled up. There was a service charge on the bill, for about the amount I would have tipped. Definitely recommend it as a place for a special meal.
